You know, reading the list for the past several weeks and the comments, it seems the CoD people are really the ones that care more for the list than anyone else. I mean, I love both games, and many other games(such as Castle Crashers, Orange Box, etc) but do you care that much if your game is the most played game on LIVE that week? I mean Each of these games up in the top 10 accomplished something right, they are all good games(Don't even start the GoW2 MP issue, SP was Epic(no pun intendened)) We are all gamers here, we should be playing these games in the top 10, and having a good time playing them by ourselves or with friends. Not only that, but this fanboyism in the games in the system is splitting this community apart. Instead fanboys of this system should be friendly with one another and recognize that their only real true enemy is the horrible games that Nintendo makes when they try to use those stupid plastic cheap "items" to make the game more fun for soccer moms and old people. Casual gaming is destroying the game industry, we shouldn't place fanboyism into the problem to help further increase the speed of this destruction.

I hate how everyone keeps calling their game "King"! Its just a list. All of them are pretty good if you ask me, otherwise they would not be on this list. There is a reason though why Halo 3 has always been up there for all this time, because it is a good game. Why can't people just accept that they are all good games.

Anyway, Gears of War 2 will fall a little bit, but until the Xbox 360 is finished, it will always be around #4 or #5. Just like how the original Gears of War did. Hopefully World at War drops down, because I like Call of Duty 4 better. They are both very similar, but I just like the new and fresh Modern Warfare over the milked to death World War II FPS.

Searing Wave, Call of Duty 4 had the top spot for almost 3 months traight over Halo 3. After Call of Duty 4 came out, Halo 3 only took the top spot 3 times until Gears of War 2 and WaW came out. Don't say Halo 3 is some king, yes it's very good, but it was behind call of duty 4 for almost the first 8 months of this year.

I am also so annoyed about the whole TF2 update thingy. Valve put a lot into that game but because they will have to charge to add extra content, they won't because it would fracture an already small live fanbase.

I enjoy it on PC, it's very much active with tonnes of servers, but it is just too lonely as most of my mates are on xbox live.

At least left 4 dead has nailed it, finally console fans can see why PC users don't shut up about the genius of Valve, Half Life, CS etc :)

How cool is it to have a games developer making awesome games crossplatform that both reap in the huge revenue streams of the console world while not turning their back on the pc?

Well they can still be played on the 360. Not sure about actually playing on the original but possibly credit card still works?

World at War and Gears of War 2, as many have stated, benefitted from the holiday season, and that is to be expected. However, I predict both will drop alarmingly fast within the next couple of weeks.

My predictions for the end of January into February:

1. Halo 3

2. Call of Duty: World at War

3. Gears of War 2

4. Left 4 Dead

5. Call of Duty 4

As for the end of February into March:

1. Halo 3

2. Halo Wars

3. Call of Duty 4

4. Call of Duty: World at War

5. Left 4 Dead

Gears of War 2's future is looking very desperate if Epic doesn't do some things quick. And even then it will be luckly to hold a number 2 or 3 position for any amount of time, much less the top spot.

The Call of Duty series (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in particular) is spectacular, but it still pales in comparison to the Halo series (Halo 3 specifically in recent memory). Halo has been and always will be the King. Just because another game manages to take the number 1 spot for a few weeks does not make it "the new king". If a game can hold off Halo 3 for an entire year, ever, then that will be something to talk about.
