Major, thank you for at least posting on this issue. However, I don't think Certification is doing a good job...maybe they should have a blog, so we can have someone more deserving to harass! They are taking way too long to certify this demo, which WAS promised to us, the consumers, to show up last week (whether or not that was by Microsoft, it was still a promise to the consumers). In addition, MS Certification has proven itself to be entirely useless, as is evidenced by the buggy-as-hell Full Auto demo that showed up earlier this year. I have no problem with buggy demos, but I do have a problem with useless Certification teams holding demos from us for a week. Is there a direct line to contact the Certification team? Do they have a blog or something? I feel bad taking this out all on you but you are the only Xbox team member that tries to keep up a rapport with the fans.

I posted this yesterday in the comments. I'll make a blog post when I have an update. Generally speaking we do not post content on a Friday. Now, as to where the demo is? I don't know...I don't work on the certification team. No one at Microsoft 'promised' the demo...we don't do that.

Major,

I know, asking the same question; another way. While you do not know when the prey demo will be out can you at least comment on the chances of it being this week? In the past demos have not been posted Friday - Sunday. That said is this a rule or just the way things have gone? I guess what I am getting at is tomrrow is Wednesday. What is the cut-off point in which this week becomes a mute point?

Why do so many people complain? We're lucky enough to have a guy working on the team telling us this info. I still don't see Sony or Nintendo doing stuff like this. Be happy with what Major Nelson's giving us. You guys do realize that he's paying for this site WITH HIS OWN MONEY, right?

Good to know the servers are being kept in good shape. As for all of you who want the Prey Demo just download the Quake4 demo and use your imagination.

Why can't you make N3 come out faster!!! I wanna demo and free gamer pics I won't use and new videos. (again, tom foolery)

Thanks for the maintenance heads up MN, I'm sure if I played while sleep walking (XL went down at 5:00 a.m. in my time zone) I would be pissed. But I don't so I'm not.

Keep in mind that Major Nelson CAN'T tell us everything. He must sign what is called a "Non-Disclosure Agreement" (or NDA), which basiclly states that he cannot disclose "trade secrets" and other information Microsoft doesn't want him to disclose. But he is the person Microsoft wanted to have a Blog and let people have somebody they think they can relate to and ask questions. Since he is the ONLY person we can directly talk to without getting the run around (like XBox email support is basically non-existent, 18004myxbox is people who have no clue, etc) is there any other way to speak the problems? yes, the forums.... but the freakin mods(or whatever they are) avoid all the topics they feel are avoidable. Not to mention this is the ONLY place that is to tell us about the server being down today. If he don't have the information why the heck is he in charge of telling us this crap?

Oh and a final note Major. There are alot of us that appreciate what you do for the community it is just unfortunate that it is the minority of pople who are outspoken and use you as a scapegoat when things go wrong.

God sake stop moaning for 5 minutes. Theres 3 things you should remember before flaming MN this bad.

1. Its not MN's fault if things are not released on time.

2. Its not MN's fault that matinence has to be done to keep xbl up.

3. Its not MN's fault that you have the patience of a 3 year old.
