Frogger

Earlier tonight, the Xbox Live Arcade PR team held a kick off party in San Francisco to announce the ‘Summer of Arcade.’ While this may not be a surprise for some, The fun begins at 12:01am PT Wednesday morning when everyone’s favorite reptile amphibian ‘Frogger’ leaps on to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The ‘Summer of Arcade’ means a new arcade title will land on the Marketplace every Wednesday until August 9th. Here is the schedule:

July 12 – Frogger
July 19 – Cloning Clyde
July 26 –  Galaga
August 2 – Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting
August 9 – Pac-Man

Yes, that says Street Fighter on August 2nd. I know I have said in the past that I hate giving release dates, but the teams involved have rallied around these dates and are committed to delivering the goods on time.

BTW: Thanks to everyone that came to the party tonight…it was great meeting some of you!

I just got confirmation that Frogger will be 400 points and will be available in all Xbox Live regions
