More Co-op and Tuesday night thoughts

Ozymandias has posted again on Co-op gaming, this time with the Co-op Game Bill of Rights: 2008 Edition.  Check out the very cool stats collected on co-op gaming activity over Xbox Live.  I’m a huge fan of the co-op experience.  I’ve even gone so far as to play a number of single-player games in “co-op” by playing them simultaneously with a friend via private chat, but that’s a poor substitute for the real thing.

Other pre-dinner thoughts:

  • XBLA games Doom and Assault Heroes are about to join the Arcade Hits program.  They’ll be 400 points each come Wednesday.  Thanks DirtyDiva.

  • During my St. Patrick’s Day party on Saturday, someone adjusted the setting on my espresso bean grinder.  Gah.  It takes a good week’s worth of shots to get that dialed in perfectly.

  • Talked to Major briefly while he was in San Juan.  He’s having a great vacation and says “hi” to everyone.

  • Apparently I need to clarify my “go ducks!” comment.  I’m rooting for the University of Oregon men’s basketball team in the NCAA tournament.  When I’m watching the NHL I’m rooting for the Philadelphia Flyers.

  • R.I.P. Arthur C. Clarke.  Author of 2001, Childhood’s End, Rendezvous with Rama, and more – you’ll be missed.
