Video Games Live in Seattle this weekend

If you are in the Seattle area and looking for something to do this Saturday night, how about heading down to Video Games Live? The show, where video game music is performed with a live orchestra and choir, is in town this Saturday, January 24th. And as a bonus, they’re going to premiere music from Halo 3: ODST, and Gabe and Tycho will be there as well. Many area industry members will be there, so it may be a good chance to rub elbows with the people whose work you have enjoyed over the years.

Not in Seattle but still want to see the show? They’re on tour, so they may be coming to your area later this year.

See you Saturday night.

  1. Thanks for the reminder. I’m planning on catching them when they come to Richmond, VA in April. I thought this was a local production but I guess not. I didn’t know they sold out either.

  2. It’s not a US only event. Their tour has dates in Canada as well. It also looks like there are plans to head overseas as well, just no confirmed dates. Keep an eye out for it.

  3. I’ve seen them before in New Haven, CT, and now that I live in Kirkland, I’m going again!! Can’t wait to see who I bump into! Anyone hiring an IT guy with game making potential? 🙂

  4. @Maj
Tell your sister to go to ANY printing press office, meat department or better yet order ANY CUSTOM MADE cake from a bakery and tell her to let you see the order receipt. I was about to include “Tell her to go get a prescription from her doctor.” but we all know docs don’t write in ‘cursive’, they write in ‘scribbles’. So yes, I do believe people still use cursive. I try not to as my handwriting sucks (lefthanded).

  5. The part where you said “Halo 3: ODST” made me not want to go anymore… not at all excited about any Halo games. Halo 3 was an epic fail, they should have stopped at 2.

  6. Thanks for posting this Major. I’d wait for it to come here (on my birthday), but I’m gonna have to travel up from Portland since Marty’s going to be there.

  7. Awesome, Just bought my tickets for Calgary! Can’t wait, I missed it last year. My G/F made me go to her mom’s singing concert last week, so I’m making her come to my nerdfest!
