Not to mention the fact everyone is up in arms about the fact that they have to pay extra for the multiplayer.

Lol I should stop by just to tell him how disappointing the game is. Sorry I’m an oldschool RE fan compared to this new crap.

Any word on what Capcom is going to do about sealed CE’s of RE 5 being sent to Gamestop without the necklace? Looks like another Fable 2 CE situation.

I would pass even if I was next door. RE5 is, well, VERY much less than what people were expecting and hoping for. Very let down to say the least.

To those (few) of you who really enjoy it, cool… but for the rest of you, I feel your pain.

Hmmm, wow, I missed this post and I’m sorry I did. I’m an old school fan and ‘completionist’ of Resident Evil on PS1. I got all 4 or 5 endings (if been so long, I can’t remember how many endings there actually were) trying to beat the game under 2 hours. My fave endings are when Barry survives and the bad ending when you leave the ending is a point of view of Tyrant watching you leave and he is breathing heavily.

With that said, RE5 is a breath of fresh air. I did not read nor have a read ONE review of this game. I started playing the game with an online friend from here and we have been a heck of a good time. To DARE to compare this game to the Fable 2 CE situation is a shame. Yes, I know I said I was not going to buy any more Limited Edition or Collection Edition of games, but the GameStop manager weaseled his way into my wallet – it was already paid for and after seeing the little handybag, I was in. Am I happy with my purchase? Yes. Am I satisfied with the product? No. I’m happy it is two player, it is not confusing and my system does not crash as with Fable 2. The graphics are cool and they truly went out of their way to make this the BEST RE ever! Kota Suzuki’s work on the game’s music score is just phenomenal – just as much as Final Fantasy’s back in the day. The companies that assisted with the motion-capture and filming was just awesome. “They did that JUST FOR ME?!” is how I took it.

Also, this review is 95% accurate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRShlPAC_iM (found it while trying to locate the name of the mocap studio and filming studio). Also, the gatlin gun on the back of the jeep vs the motorcycle guys was EXACTLY what I have been looking for on a home console ala Lost World: Jurassic Park Arcade (sitdown arcade). So I REALLY enjoyed that part. Now as for the downers, I was expecting a code for a few custom outfits, hidden characters with side stories, maybe a pack in of a previous Resident Evil game (RE4 or Code Veronica) or a COMPLETE movie of ALL (ala Shemue’s video rental of the game being recorded and played like a movie). Am I upset as much as the Fable 2 CE fiasco, NO WAY! I’m a happy camper. Peggle has made me immune to anger for some odd reason. “Rain on my parade?”, okay, I’ll just Peggle it. If you have NEVER EVER played Resident Evil, now is a GREAT time to get you hands wet with the blood of hordes of attacking enemies armed with ONLY your knife and run from the sack heads like your nephew when you scared him that first time with “ooga booga!”. Resident Evil 5 awesome, not totally besting Resident Evil 4 (it is hard to best your previous BEST), but Capcom did a GREAT job. I’m not sure how what everyone is talking about, but those who could have met Jun Takeuchi, you missed a good time. But you can make it up by playing Lost Planet Colonies – Jun Takeuchi plays that game often, but you DO need to know Japanese to communicate.
