I’m very interested to play the trial for this one… This is not something I see translating well to a video game but I’m willing to give it a chance.

It’s from the guys who did Cycling Manager which is a best selling Franchise in France. And they’re French.

I have a friend who is so going to buy it.

I would presume it’s not a 1 to 1 match on time, otherwise one of those mountain stages could take up to 5 hours to complete!

I’m guessing this would definitely need to be checked out as a trial just to see if it’s just a “team manager” type of game or if you’re actually a cyclist in the peloton, and if so, what the game mechanics are.

On the TT you have to play the rider (arcade), the rest is managing a team.

I need to figure more out on the sprints, i am always quite badly positioned.

I’ll download the trial for this but I’m not gonna get my hopes up lol and at 10$, Its more than likely a pass for me. But who knows, stranger things have happened lol.

Hi Major, the title is misspelled. It should read, “Tour de Lance.”

Wow, didn’t see that coming. Do you hit L-trig R-trig L-trig R-trig to peddle?

All I needed to see was “for French, by French”…maybe if we threaten them a little, they will give it to us for free LOL! Really, though, I don’t see this being too successful in the USA, as most people know little to nothing about the Tour, don’t even know Lance is on a TEAM (or that it’s a team sport, for that matter), and like some others have said…what do you do? Hold a button down for an hour? Alternate triggers? I’ll dl the demo out of simple curiosity, but there are too many good, and unfortunately expensive, games coming up to drop 800 on something like this.

Is this a kind of simulation game, a bit like the F1 Manager (can’t remember the exact name) game on the Amiga? I can see the potential in that, it essentially puts you in the role of tactician whilst the race is being played out. As long as you don’t have to button mash to pedal as well.

Can you actually steer your bike in this game? I only got to try the game out for a few minutes before work today, and the only thing I could figure out was to hit left and right on the directional pad to speed up or slow down. I don’t understand this game yet.

I played the trial and watched the video. Its bad I wouldn’t even spend 5 bucks for and if it was free I probably wouldn’t play it much if at all.

Agree with the comments…played this far longer than I should have, trying to see something promising… it’s a turd, and you can’t polish it.
