I don’t understand why Silverlight is required to view screenshots.

    well, isn’t it obvious?
it’s a way for Microsoft to get Silverlight on your PC.
it’s a quick install anyway, no not a big deal imo.

Curse you, PArmy, that was so out of the blue! (Nice move, anyways. Congrats to those who got the codes in time.)

Looking forward to this a lot, more original platform games like this are exactly what XBLA needs. Sad to see it ignored in favour of overpriced ports of old fighting games..

Has pammy got anymore codes :o)

Amen to that, WinterSnowblind! Instead of all the old tired fighting games, XBLA needs more challenging puzzle platformers like this one and Lode Runner, and the return of more classic adventure games like Monkey Island.
If you’re even remotely interested in this kind of game, you owe it to yourself to get Splosion Man. With 50 single-player levels, 50 multiplayer levels with 4-player co-op, and a FREE unlockable premium theme, gamerpics, AND the first Avatar accessories available all for only 800 points, this is definitely the best bang (or maybe kaboom?) for your buck in the Summer of Arcade! Bring on the Splosion Man!

I am totally excited about this game! Especially because of all the incentives, like; 1-4 players, Avatar unlockables, free premium theme and gamerpics! Good times, and thanks to IGN’s 9/10 review, I can’t wait till Wednesday.

I just read through the IGN review too. A couple things in it made me laugh like “Exploding near a scientist will cause them to hemorrhage neatly packaged deli meats, a sight that never gets old.” and also “If you do get stuck, and you die enough times, the game will give you the option of taking the “Way of the Coward” and skipping to the next level. If you do, though, you’ll receive a terrible score for that stage and have to wear a ballerina tutu until you complete the next area.” Hahaha this game is just so full of awesome!😀

Sounds like something straight out of Toe Jam and Earl with that tutu.:) I am looking forward to this title.

LoL – This is what makes a great game,

A sense of humo(u)r from the Developers & great additional content.

This is what makes me spend additional MS Points on DLC – like the MAW:)

I’m getting this as soon as it’s available. Any plans for “deleted scenes”?

    Like

  • WinterSnowblind

Incase that was meant as a dig at the Maw, the “deleted scenes” weren’t levels that were cut from the game, they were 100% new levels that were created once the game was out. They were only named “deleted scenes” to sound like a DVD feature, something the developers said they regreted and because of that, they likely won’t be doing DLC again because of the huge amount of negative feedback they got from it.. Sigh, if only people would pay attention and not just hop on the band wagon, assuming all DLC should be in the game to begin with.

Erm I not assuming anything. I am just wondering if there’ll be DLC for Splosion Man :o)
