Going to Comic Con 2009?

Headed to Comic Con this week? If so, Xbox has some great stuff lined up in San Diego. From finding out what’s next in the Halo franchise, to meeting everyone’s favorite Guild member there is something for everyone. Check out the full schedule and make plans to see all the action. Make sure you block off this Saturday from 1-2pm (SDCC Room 6DE) where I’ll be moderating the From Chainsaws to Renegade Spies: 101 Ways to Save the Universe Only on Xbox panel. Joining me onstage for the discussion will be Ubisoft’s Alexandre Parizeau (Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction), Valve’s Chet Faliszek (Left 4 Dead 2), BioWare’s Casey Hudson (Mass Effect 2), Bungie’s Paul Bertone (Halo 3: ODST), and Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski (Gears of War 2.) There is a lot going on over the next few days, so if you have the opportunity to attend it promises to be a good time. Don’t worry, I’ll have coverage of the event on Inside Xbox if you can’t make the trip (or your Super Hero costume is at the cleaners.)  Watch my Twitter for the latest updates and I’ll see you there.

  1. Pro-tip: If you post a “FIRST” comment that actually is first we delete it, otherwise we just leave it; so no matter what your “FIRST” comment won’t be first

  2. That’ll teach you to make stupid posts, Sneeches. And there are a lot of Canadian idiots. Look at hockey! ^.^

Looking forward to the Comic-Con coverage Major! You’ll do us proud. πŸ˜€

  3. @Sneeches:
Β¬(Nationality β†’ intelligence). I’ve met people from both the US and Canada that fall into both categories.

Have fun at Comic Con and get a double double animal-style for this cut off Ohioan.

  4. Anyone know if the Avatar Awardables will be only on new games? Or will they be on old but after you get the achievement? or will be unlocked based on your achievements already?

  5. Major – Any chance you’ll be able to record the audio for this panel and post it on the blog? It sounds very interesting but not everyone can make it to comic-con! Pretty please?

  6. Hopefully Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski can explain why Gears of War 2’s ‘All Fronts’ DLC was released accidently on July 17, 2009 for a short time at 800msp and then pulled to be released on July 28, 2009 at 1600msp. If it did happen then Microsoft and Epic Games should release either the ‘All Fronts’ DLC or atleast the ‘Dark Corners’ DLC for 800msp instead of their original marketplace msp price.

It was a screw up by Microsoft – they listed the content both early & whats worse is they listed it for half price.

Microsoft have already said that they accidentally released it early & those who purchased it early will be able to keep the content without facing any penalties (damn right).
They have also said that they will be releasing the content as planned on the 28th for the original prices. Dark Corners: 1200MSP All Fronts: 1600MSP

Waiting for the price to drop is just going to hurt yourself – Microsoft/Epic don’t care if you don’t buy it as a Million others will buy it.

The content will never go down in price IMO.

“The content will never go down in price IMO” lol That statement is funny. Then explain the tons of content that has had price drops or even became free in less than a year. They should lower the price for at least one day to be fair to everyone.

  9. wait, didn’t Microsoft have some super secret project they were gonna announce…..so has that happened already, and i have missed it or is it being announced on Sunday?
