Not the best music… and ALREADY a song pack? Time to get some money in eh?

I won’t get GH5… waiting on a new Rock Band. Don’t get me wrong, the new features are somewhat cool… but with the “you can’t import all songs and some of the old DL-Songs won’t work” thingy I’m not very happy…

Well the tracklist wasn’t the best in the old GHs either and the stones are not my type of music…

Love The Stones but wish this was the original recordings and not live tracks.

Why would I buy DLC when the game just came out, plus Rock Band has a better thing going with importing of songs.

I own both GH (all except GH:Metallica) and RB (1 & 2) and enjoy playing both. True, import is a page from RB. So what? I don’t care who started it. I’m glad that the day I got GH5 I can import from both GH:World Tour and GH:Smash Hits games and don’t have to swap discs anymore. GH5 is a big improvement with quick-n-easy Party Mode (now we don’t fight over who “has to” play bass), simplified menus, and some new competitive modes for Xbox Live. Rock Band fanboys coming here and putting down GH5 obviously haven’t tried it and are missing out.

As for the DLC, I got excited about this track pack, but then I previewed them in GH5. Mick Jagger doesn’t sound good live–at least not in the songs I previewed–so I’ll pass on this one.

My brother’s will rent this but I can’t play GH anymore without feeling used.😛 I do love Rock Band though. GH5 looks pretty fun though, definitely a much larger (and surprising) improvement from the previous “versions”.

Just to clarify…you cannot import ALL the songs from World Tour or Smash Hits…not even half. I did the World Tour import and it added 35 of the 85ish songs, so while I am happy for the feature, I am definitely looking forward to seeing some more of those added. GH5 is a lot of fun, and is right up there as one of the best versions of the game, though I still prefer Rock Band due to the library and ease of import (even the track packs can be imported…and they are FREE to import)

Biomonkey, Rock Band 1 and 2 both had DLC on day one. Beatles Rock Band will as well.

KP ScuzzyBunny, true not all the songs imported but they also charged less for the import fee. Per song it works out about the same. Also the GHWT track packs can be imported too. For free.

If your going to add dlc atleast add something good because the gh5 songlist sucks as it is and this isnt making it any better.

I’m not real thrilled with GH5 so far. I, too, love The Rolling Stones, but I would rather have studio recordings.

Some bands isnt as good Live as in a studio, and some bands is better Live.

I bought GH 2,3,4 and GH 2 and 3 had better DLC than GH 4/5…

I own Rock Band 1+2, and i buy 10 times as much more songs in those games. I think Harmonix have way bettter taste than Neversoft.

I used to be Guitar Hero Fanboy, but notice i missed out alot by not having Rock 1+2.. but later found out that Rock Band series have so much better DLC, and you can have all songs in 1 game. Even Rock Band AC/DC.

Hopefully the reason these are live is the album versions are going to Rockband. Only reason I bought GH5 is free GH: Van Halen. I’ll probably play 5 a bit and get the easy achievements and sell it or something.
