    For those Football/Soccer fans in North America, the FIFA 10 demo went up today for us as well.

    I think PES 2010 is definitely an improvement over PES 2008 and 2009. I love the new tactical sliders! But I think after playing the FIFA 09 and FIFA 2010 demo, PES still feels very outdated and not as fluid/real as FIFA 10.

    So I prefer Fifa 10 this year, after playing ISS/PES since N64-era :p

    Hailed by who? Although I hear the code is from July so not the best platform for us to judge it on, but you’d have to point to Konami for doing it if so.

    @Kraven
    I somewhere read, that Konami said the demo is more evolved then the footage they’ve shown at the GamesCom in germany, which was from 18.-22. August. Dunno if this is actually true.

    I tried the demo now and deleted it after 2 games. Imho Fifa is better this year again. The PES 360°-Dribbling feels strange and Fifa10 feels more fluid and dynamic. The only good side on PES is the great graphics.

    So Fifa is my 2010 game, as was Fifa09 last year. They’re quite close to each other so I guess it’s just the personal preference what game to get.

    This game is awesome! What is everyone talking about? It’s not trying too much, it’s just all about football, and it’s brilliant at exuding just that! I’m picking this one up.

    I dont know what Ghost of Kirin and other people that liked this demo see in it, the controls feel weird, all stiff, the graphics are a nice upgrade from 2009 and the tactics are nice too, but this guys upgrade their game really late, when fifa started trying to moving forward their franchise in the next gen consoles at least, this guys are just upgrading their graphics and the tactics, ehn fifa did the graphics a couple games ago and the tactics in the 09 game, i think they will need at least a couple more years for pes to upgrade their game properly as fifa but then fifa will have a really big improvements as they are right now, i will go for fifa again. I hope the franchise of pes doesnt die as there is nice competition for fifa so they can still try and improve their game every year. I hope next year is the winner for pes.

    Ok. I will be buying FIFA-10 come October. PES2010 seems so ‘fake’ compared to FIFA. Im not going to knock it any further (im sure the developers did their best) but im not impressed.

    FIFA seems so much more realistic – in my small openion.

    PS – this coming from a guy who refused to buy EA’s NBA-LIVE due to the graphics looking terrible when compared to NBA-2K’s.

    FIFA may look better overall, though I think the PES player models are superior this year. FIFA’s seem so plastic.

    But as far as how things go on the pitch, PES is superior to FIFA, even if the series has been stagnated since the 2007 edition.

    FIFA just does not feel like football at all. It’s too fast, the ball physics are laughable, the players seem to skate on the field rather run, and the animations are very unrealistic and lack a feel of momentum and innertia.

    All of this PES gets right (with varying degrees of success between versions) and that’s what makes it the only choice for real football fans.
