something makes me think that ODST will stay at number 3 for the near future, and when MW2 comes in it will jump right to the top

forza 3 will do well as well

Are people seriously buying “The Fart Machine II” over Sol Survivor?

    Just so you all know…

Disc 2 of ODST multiplayer is Halo 3 so of course it will be number 1.

Guess people wasn’t hype about the story mode. lol me neither. ending sucked!

It would be nice to see a top 20 list for original Xbox and Xbox 360 every once in a while. I’d like to see how of the older 360 games are doing and see how close NFL 2k5 is, because people still play that.

The ESPN NFL 2K5 is still the greatest football game ever, I don’t know what people find so great about Madden??

I would imagine the reason why Sol Survivor isn’t selling is because it costs $10 putting it directly in competition with the superior Defense Grid.

Heck, I got Sol Survivor for free and I haven’t put in very much time in just because Defense Grid is so good.

I love that conker is in the top 10 for the original xbox. I love that game! I wish they would make a new one!

    Not surprising.
The 1st ODST Disc which represents ODST on the charts is mainly the single player experience. And I can’t remember the last time a single player game held a consistent spot in even the top 5.
While Disc 2 is Halo 3 multiplayer with all the maps. And that adds to Halo 3s UU.

@Shadow0810: Unfortunately, Sol Survivor priced itself out of existance with that 800 points price, same as Downtown SMASH Dodgeball. I agree it’s still disappointing to see people literally paying for crap with “The Fart Machine II” over the better stuff on the channel, but it’s also good that games such as Miner: Dig Deep continue to do well while Zombies and Avatar Golf have found their audience. Arkedo Series 001 – JUMP! better be on next week’s list…

Also great to see Trials HD having such strong legs on the XBLA side. It should be at about 500,000 total sales by now and counting. RedLynx deserves it, cause it’s by far the best game of 2009 for me.

ODST will probably keep falling a little.. it is only a single player expansion so.. Only Oblivion and Mass Effect can be single player and stay in the Top 10 for elongated periods of time.:) All great games though.

I don’t know, ODST’s firefight is a really good Live experiance, and it ships with the entire Halo 3 Multiplayer w/all maps, so if it does fall, it’ll be replaced by Halo 3 and just drop a couple of places.

Quite strange that Lucidity didn’t make it into top 10 for XBLA since it was released last week at the same time as South Park (which took top spot). Magic: The Gathering sold more than Lucidity last week? Really? Hmm. Almost any title no matter what makes it into top 10 for its first week on XBLA, but I guess that Lucidity wasn’t all that great. I’ll give the trial a go this week.
As for the Xbox 360 games, I’m pretty sure that MW2 will take 1st straight away and might possibly stay there for a long time. Can’t see any (multiplayer) game than can compete with that juggernaught from Infinity Ward. Maybe Halo: Reach, but we don’t know much about that game yet.
Forza 3 might do well, but when was the last time a driving game was in the top 10 for more than just a short time? People tend to like shooting and sports games it seems. But if one driving game can do it, it’s Forza.

I’m thinking the number 1 spot for the next year will go like this: Halo 3 until Modern Warfare 2’s release, Modern Warfare 2 for a few months (until sometime during Spring), the two of them battling it out for a few weeks (until early Summer), Halo 3 until Halo: Reach’s release.

Forza Motorsport 3 is looking to be a great game. I better go hurry up and finish Forza 2. It will probably place high on the list, as will Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin’s Creed II, and (going into next year) Mass Effect 2 and BioShock 2. The latter I am taking a wait-and-see approach with, however. BioShock was nothing short of stellar, but many things feel out of sorts with BioShock 2 so far. Not to mention the afflictions it has had regarding development (and separate studios).

I’m amazed that the South Park game was the #1 arcade game(must have been because of the name), & anyone who is buying the Fart Machine II really needs to have their head examined

The lack of lucidity in the list ain’t that surprising. The demo looked beautiful but utterly failed to catch attention gameplay-wise.

Don’t understand why Zombie Apocalypse is on the list the game is absolutely atrocious. Especially When I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1 is 9 bucks cheaper and much more fun.
