Dash Text: The sequel to the best-selling and critically-acclaimed co-operative multiplayer smash from Valve®, Left 4 Dead™ 2 promises to become one of 2009’s top-selling games and set a new benchmark for co-operative action games. Left 4 Dead 2 takes place at roughly the same time as the original, and leads four new “Survivors” through the southeastern United States — from Savannah, Georgia to New Orleans’ French Quarter. The title adds melee combat, new monsters and weapons, the AI Director 2.0, and more to create a larger game than the original. Visit http://www.l4d.com for more information.

Yay, now the people who were undecided on buying this can see something to help make their decision! While the people who already made that decision already had access to the thing that would help make their decision!

    Buh?

is the single player any good or is it like the first one where they focused more on the co-op & multiplayer?

WOW! 2GB? That’s insane for a demo. And I’m at work with it sitting in my queue. It would a cool, new feature to program the 360 to be “always on” (similar to the Wii) and have it wake-on-lan or something similar when the queue gets filled.

    Can’t wait to play.

Already pre-ordered, but not at Gamestop so didn’t get the early demo. All I can say is…YES! Loved the first, can’t wait for the second. Will be playing this demo a lot, but dang its a big file.

If you pre-ordered it at GameStop, you could have had access to this a week ago. It looks like more and more games are going to have week-early exclusive demo access (also usually paired with an exclusive in-game item) as a pre-order bonus in an attempt by the publishers to get more profits back from used game sales. I noticed they did this with Brütal Legend too.

When it releases, import it. The first L4D is region free so most likely this one will be too.

Been playing this demo for a week or so, since I pre-ordered. Loving the new characters and the stuff they say. Expert Mode is a pain T_T. I hate that little Jockey punk he is so short he hits you and you are down before you notice; the Spitter likes to spit at people when they are downed. The Charger is sometimes unnoticed until he slams you into a wall and starts pummeling you. I can imagine the other special infected in there and the other levels ~dies~

when microsoft first announced the ability to add items to a queue via the web, they also mentioned that they envisioned the xbox turning itself on, downloading the content, then powering off. maybe they ran into complications trying to do it.

for reference, pretty sure it was discussed at microsoft’s E3 briefing 2 – 3 years ago.

I have to say that the smokers in Left 4 Dead 2 or far more annoying than the ones in the first one. I can’t wait for this game and to get all the achievements in it like I did with the first one.
