Splitscreen ? no thanks. I prefer to enjoy the full size of my HDTV and the output of my surround speakers reflecting only my gameplay.

I am with snoop dope on that.
Is this a compilation of levels from the PC games or is it new stuff?

    1200? No thanks!
I’ll hook up the old Xbox and play SS and SS2 on that instead.

I love when people complain about 1200 points, its 15 bucks. the team used a new engine and redid the textures, Guz1977, have fun playing with no one.

its worth 15 bucks people, stop being a cheapskate. I am sure you have all spent 15 bucks on worst, I mean, Guz1977 himself paid for Fairytale Fights.. haha

I am joking, but seriously, just buy it. multiplayer alone should be worth the price of admission

I wasen’t asking for a splitscreen co-op as the only option to play the game, i simply want the option to be able to enjoy this game with a couple of cold ones with my friends (in the same room). Im pretty sure that if they implemented splitscreen co-op you would still be able to play it solo aswell…

    > have fun playing with no one.
Serious Sam has split screen and Serious Sam 2 has Xbox Live co-op, so you obviously don’t know much. But you probably don’t have any friends either so…

    >I mean, Guz1977 himself paid for Fairytale Fights.. haha
No, I got it FOR FREE at Christmas.

Pffft, kids these days with their parents credit cards…

If you ladies can put your handbags down for a moment, offline multiplayer is always a nice touch but online-only is still better than offline-only.

Yeah I remember playing SS in splitscreen on the PC! One had a game pad and the other used kb/mouse.

Although this version has some upgrades like ragdoll bodies and shadows, it lacks in rendering resolution (sub 720p), framerate (30fps) and audio fidelity (same old low hz samples).

Either Croteams engine was and still is so incompatible with ATI hardware that this is all they could come up with, or they were just lazy. I remember it sure didnt like the first ATI Radeon 64MB.. glitched and blotched all the way to persepolis.

I like to play full-screen by myself, but I have friends that come over often and I’m tired of playing Halo 3, as it is the only game to offer both on and offline options. Hell, even a mix of the two. Why can’t all of these FPSs on the Xbox easily code for both? It’s not hard, and made evident by Halo, it’s the most attractive to the fans. It’s extremely simple to play by yourself, with friends online, with friends locally, OR with friends locally AND online. How convenient is that?

There are quite a few games with split screen, not just Halo. Borderlands, ODST, MW2, and WaW come right to mind as FPS with co-op campaign and “multiplayer” using split-screen. I don’t think you thought your “it is the only game…” comment through very well, as all the games listed are, in my opinion, better, than Halo 3 (the only one I would be on the fence about is ODST)

…and can we PLEASE stop listing every song that gets released on every music game (Lips, GH, RB, KR)? If it weren’t for Spargo CXVII’s post, no one would know about the Dragon’s Age content, even though I checked the “Game’s” blade on Xbox.com twice today…but there are a bunch of new RB songs! Just list the track packs, as we all know to go to the Rock Band/ Guitar Hero/ Lips music “store” app when we want to see individual songs listed!

Why oh why is it not available in New Zealand? Are we not as twitchy-triggered, wise-cracking, muscle-bound as the rest of the world?

Are we being punished with a distribution system that lumps us with other countries who may be offended by Indian-god-like baddies?

    Will it come available ever?

Please can someone help me understand?

Hey Major, what is wrong with X-Box Live? I can’t connect to anything and neither can any of my friends. Are we experiencing the same problem from when the last Modern Warfare game came out?

I know I have a paper to write, but you’re making it really hard to procrastinate.

I think the mindless killing and weaponry is enough of a intention to buy any Serious Sam game.
Its what most FPS games should have been, but nowadays, too much story and such gets in the way.
I think its worth the points.

just found out it was pulled for the bugs found where specializations are not working for new characters. now we can probably wait another 2 weeks.

KP ScuzzyBunny; I was referring to Halo 3 being the only one with splitscreen being able to play on and offline with. In example; My friend comes over and we decide to play splitscreen online. Modern Warfare doesn’t do that, and neither does Borderlands. ODST is still technically Halo 3. Hence the title; Halo 3: ODST.

Some Arcade games got it right, like Castle Crashers, N+, and ‘Splosion Man, in terms of letting more than one person on the same console play online, but you would think that splitscreen in FPSs would be given… and having splitscreen play online would be an extra plus. Oh, well. Guess I’ll still have to stick to Halo 3.

Hopefully Perfect Dark will do that. *fingers crossed*
