    I’ve been looking forward to try this for a while, lets see if its worth buying.

    Besides 90 minutes of gameplay is greatly appreciated.

    Downloading…

    When I heard 90 minutes of content, I flashed back to the Fable II episodes. If this demo lets me pick up where I left off, I think THQ just ensured themselves a sale.

    If not… it might take a while before I want to replay the first level again.😉

    I don’t think the demo lets you take the time played over until the full game, mainly because this demo gives you the first dungeon, which is a good hour into the game, you’re missing the opening. I think they chose to do this because the first few parts of the game really make it feel like a generic God of War clone.. It’s not until you get to the dungeon you see the more Zelda like qualities. It definitely would have helped if they had this up closer to release, a lot of people had totally the wrong idea about the game.

    I rented this game a while ago, and after playing it for one day I was hooked and went out and bought it the next day even though I still had 2 more days left in my rental!

    I regret buying this game. People say it plays too similar to Zelda, and it does, just without the large amount of gore and the fact that War can actually jump. But it still takes heavily from Zelda and going far enough to say that it sorta ripped off the Portal Gun mechanic.

    You forgot to mention it also takes ideas liberally from the Apocalypse.

    I really enjoyed this game. I played through twice to get the full 1000 and was left wanting more. Looking forward the the sequel in 2012.

    This comes a bit late (but it’s kinda appreciated), the game is already at half its retail price.

    Too bad I ordered the game and it’s coming on friday or monday so I’ll pass …

    If you buy a new copy of this game, there’s a mail-in offer where you can get the Hellbook disc (Darksiders art, media & other goodies) and also a FREE copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla.(you still need to pay $4.99 S&H, but hey it’s a free game and Hellbook disc!) The offer’s only good until 3/7 though, so hurry! (If you happen to have a first-run copy of the game that has the Mystery Code card in it, you can redeem the offer online instead of mail-in)

    wasn’t there already a demo out for this game …. why does it warrant a second, albeit a larger, demo?

    Tried the demo. Unfortunately, after having absolutely mastered Bayonetta, Darksiders feels slow, sluggish and WAY too easy. I could finish the entire demo literally using only 1 button. No buy from me.

    @Boe, I’m with you there!

    I too felt that it felt so sluggish and slow compared to Bayonetta’s supreme combo system and sheer lightning speed gameplay. Had I NOT mastered Bayonetta, I might have taken a fonder liking to this game, but alas, I must admit too, that the artistic style of the main character puts me off too much to consider a purchase in the first place.
