%19.99 for Condemned 1 is way too much.

Can pick up Condemed in the shop for £5-10 now, so yet again Games on Demand is showing it’s colours as a pointless endevour.

Condemned really IS available in Germany, although it is officially banned here. Interesting – I wonder how long it’ll be up. Microsoft is punishable for selling this game in Germany.

I got Condemned for £17.99 four years ago, for it to be £14.99 now is silly.

Here condemned is 19.99€ but I already got my physical copy at 11€ so as stated before, the G.o.D. is pretty pointless. At least if cheaper, there is low to none stock so might me helpful for people having hard time finding it at shops ( despite online stores offers it way cheaper).

Besides, Condemned if IMHO one of the best games of the present generation so it’s worth the price tag. Top notch horror game.

i think we all kind of wish games on demand was competitively priced with the used-game market or even the discount bin. as it is, it’s really just giving you the convenience of not having to drive to the store (but giving up the cheaper price, lack of DRM, and resale potential of physical media).

I was going to moan about the prices, but i just watched “30 days of night”, Major Nelson is well scary in that.

@Mr Weazle: Haha, yes he truly was, he was a bit of a douche in the Wolverine movie too.

I see that the GoD games are still around 50%-100% more expensive than the retail version, poor business practice I say, if anything they should be cheaper for taking up HDD space and bandwidth.

I picked up Condemned brand new for $12 more than 2 years ago. I would check retail before buying it here. I feel that it’s a fun game and worth playing, but check your local shops because it’s not worth $20. If you’re bored and looking for something downloadable to satisfy your need immediately you’d be better off getting a 400 or 800 point game and then getting Condemned next time you’re out shopping. You’d get two games for the same price.

THere seems very little point in posting here that the prices are insane … it’s the same week after week. Either MS don’t care, or we are just being ignored – whichever it is, isn’t good!

 at Xbox 360 Launch titles being sold for $20. It’s safe to say for me, Games on Demand will never see a single point from my account until the prices are cut at least in half.

you guys obviously don’t understand how GoD pricing works. it isn’t like a retail shop that sells items for under MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price), they only sell games for MSRP. it isn’t that they’re trying to shaft you or anything else, microsoft is just upholding the price the manufacturer is asking for the game. we can use Condemned 1 as an example. here is an amazon link to it:
    http://www.amazon.com/Condemned-Criminal-Origins-Xbox-360/dp/B0009SQFHA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1268262630&sr=8-1

now you can see List Price (MSRP) is $19.99 which is the same price it is for GoD here in the US. amazon is selling it for less than the MSRP but, that doesn’t mean the GoD service has to. this doesn’t mean that GoD will never be competitively priced but, what this does mean is no one is trying to screw you over, the prices on GoD are simply the MSRP and that’s that.

Well at least Sega are doing the right thing at selling it at a more reasonable price at €19.99 instead of €29.99, but still expensive for a four year old game.
