Nick from Abstract360 gave it a 9/10. The game looks like a lot of fun + I’m going to get them all anyway for the promotion. Thanks for the post.

Well, the trial version proves it’s hella fun. It’s also well designed but seems we won’t get avatar awards this time.

Despite the fun it can provide it feels like they could have thrown in more stuff for those 1200 points. 100 Mb download, that’s what you get. Yes, it has to be quality above quantity but you know, everything counts in large amounts.

4 players split screen may be great but just 4 looks not enough for online multiplayer.

Lately I’m on the value-for-your-money vibe and taking the block/house party offer seems to work out like getting toy soldiers at 1200, and scrapmetal + perfect dark at 800 each. There’s where the 400 refund go (despite sounds like an excuse for us to pick arcades for game room).

I might sound too harsh but I liked scrapmetal indeed. It’s just that they could give us more value for our money (more cars, more tracks, avatar gear…)

This one makes me rethink about getting the whole block party package since looks like saving my points for future DoTW will be a better investment.

I suppose I’ll have to try again a couple of times but I’m not sure it will change what I said in the previous post ( https://majornelson.com/archive/2010/03/08/this-week-on-arcade-scrap-metal.aspx?PageIndex=2 )

At least hope this time the trial offer code shows up.

Rather looking forward to trying this, If its half as much fun as Toy Soldiers It’ll still be good. I’ll no doubt buy it anyway as I’ve got exactly 2000 points on my account so just enough for this and Perfect Dark next week.

I don’t know if I should get this or wait for the MW2 maps (March 30th). I’m thinking the maps though. Still, I’ll try it, it looks like some fun, just need to prioritize.

I dont think I would have bought this if we didnt get that 400 point refund. 800 points for this it worth it

    Its way overpriced at 1200
im counting the months gold as 400 points
so all 3 games for 800 each justify’s it to me

While I wholeheartedly support these promotions the games themselves should be worth the asking price. Seeing comments regarding the 400 points and month of live as plain and simple justification is unfortunate.

Personally I really have enjoyed this game. It does have a couple of Avatar Awards, one being a Scrap Metal T-Shirt the other a RC-Car Prop. Still can’t wait for Perfect Dark.

It’s fun, but not as good as Mashed used to be on the old black box.. why can’t they bring a new version of that out! (or make the old one backwards compatible!):/

Also the controls are rubbish, the amount of times I have turned in the wrong direction, especially in the derby matches, it doesn’t seem as intutative like Mashed or Micro Machines ever was..

YES! My account is finally through approval.

My buddy and I both got the game, it’s a good game, really challenging in some spots, but the main selling point for both of us was the fact that it was advertised as co-op 1-4 players. Major, my question to you is just what in this game warrants the 1-4 players co-op? I have been through the entire thing and have been unable to find anything that is even remotely cooperative. Am I missing something? Is this a mistake on the part of the Xbox marketplace team(s)? Co-op is really all we were looking for in the game, might there be the possibility of a refund, in full or part for this mistake?

No way for me. Tried the demo but this game really doesn’t catch me. I found no fun in the demo, maybe playing with friend should be good but for 1200 points there are really better games than this mediocre one.
