Some content (and therefore the links) may not be available in all regions.

  • Kyaizen

Once again nothing too surprising. Hoping to see Splinter Cell high on that list when it releases.

  • supremesonic

Just Cause 2 demo, but no Just Cause 2 itself? Shame on you, gamers, shame on you! I command you to go out there, buy this game, and blow everything up!

  • Omen18

It would be interesting to see how much each title moves by the week. For example, at the end of the #9 Gears of War 2 listing, there would be a +1 after it if it moved up one spot this week, or a -1 if it fell a spot.

  • Hauz20

Everybody watch while I beat this dead horse! Look at how well older games sell after price reductions

  • kroberts11

Or a little green up arrow for +1, and a little red down arrow for -1 🙂

  • I DLord I

I will be sad when the day eventually comes that sees Borderlands fall off that list. NHL 2010 keep on keeping on! +1 for NHL2010!

  • Monhegan

Sad to see neither “Decimation X” nor “Your Doodles Are Bugged” in the top 20 for indie games. They’re both fantastic and deserve a look!

  • AriesDog

Look at ‘Halo 3: ODST’ rise at we get closer to the ‘Halo Reach’ beta.

  • mccalejk

ODST rose and it’s only at #15? I don’t play Halo but that seems rather disappointing given how many people love Halo (for some strange reason! lol).

  • SketchyPederson

    Come on Splinter Cell…

  • BHZ anakinjmt

@mccalejk ODST is much lower because there’s no matchmaking for Firefight. I guarantee you that if ODST had matchmaking for Firefight, it would be higher. I know that I for one would play it a lot more. But it probably will go up once May 3 hits.

Looks like we’ve got a pretty stable top 3 in MW2, Halo 3, and Bad Company 2. Works for me. All 3 games are fun to play online. No complaints here.

  • Salmonbottle

Bad Company is still #3, and yet it’s basically worthless after midnight because you’ll only get put in rounds of 2 vs 4. It’s supposed to be 12 vs 12! I love this game and know it has enough players for this, but the matchmaking is terrible.

People should stop complaining about MW2 long enough for some complaints about BC2 to get heard by EA/Dice so they’ll fix this completely broken matchmaking.

  • nawlins08

Top 3 still the same no surprise, but ODST is creeping up the list, its already past up Madden 10, that is very interesting. I agree with the indications of how a game moved up or down from the previous week, I would also like to see some numbers for the UU’s.

  • Tino008

I don’t think we’ll ever see numbers for the UUs because the numbers probably aren’t that impressive as you go down the list. For example, COD4 is ranked 6th but when I recently logged on, only 30k or so people were online.

  • LawdaddyCO

I’m shocked that Defense Grid didn’t sell more.

  • RebelScm

Has MN (or anyone else who knows) ever explained why they don’t use UU’s for the Arcade and Indie titles, instead of full versions purchased that week? I’m not as interested in the “full versions purchased” statistic, as I am of what games are actually being played more. These are not necessarily the same! You could have a game that is so popular that everyone bought it the week it came out, and is still played way more than any other game, but because nobody’s actually buying it anymore, it drops off the list!

  • BeeDizz

I assume Halo 3 ODST multiplayer actually counts as Halo 3 right? I mean, how many people playing Halo 3s online multiplayer are using the second disk from ODST? I know i do. I don’t even have the stand alone Halo 3 anymore. I just use the ODST disk to play Halo 3 online, and the first disk when i want to do some firefight.

And the Just Cause 2 demo is #16 but the full games not even on the list? Fo shame.

  • kingbet123

Really enjoying the heck out of Battlefield and Modern Warfare 2. I do have to agree with BHZ: if there was matchmaking for Firefight, it would be higher, for sure.

Battlefield Bad Co. 2 stay in the top five will be a short one IMO some good ideas but terrible execution.

  • chiruno99

Once again the trend of Indie games is highly dissapointing. Especially The Impossible Avatar Getaway is just The Impossible Game with avatar support.

  • goobot

game room wont be there next week

    modern warfare 2 is awesome

  • Veive257

Any word on the Bioware contest yet?

  • aXXXXo

up up Battlefield Bad Co. 2 😀

  • SCS 85

Good to see the lists comprised of mostly good games.
