Major, since this is techically one title, does that mean that the 200 gamerscore points will be shared between Final Fight and Magic Sword, or does the game ship with 400 points in total?

why does the link Major posted mention Magic Sword? – one of the screenshots shows it as well. Do you get both for a single purchase of 800 points?

Not too interested in Final Fight, but Magic Sword is a great game – played it a lot in the arcade.
This ‘GGPO technology’ should be interesting as well, just a shame Taito didn’t use it with Bubble Bobble😦

@Rastansaga, the GGPO tech is only really gonna be used by Capcom for the most part, they have a long term licence for using it.

Looking forward to seeing how it deals with Final Fight over LIVE.

@onemorechanc – There was no XBLA game released on Wednesday December 30th 2009. That was the last time, unless you count the week that Game Room was released.

what’s with the low rating on the post? do kids not know what final fight is? it is one of the most epic side scrolling fighting games ever created! i think the package is definitely worth 800 points.

800pts for 2 games, I love it. This is a day one purchase, for sure. I loved FF, played it so much on my SNES, never had a chance to try Magic Sword.

When I first heard of it It sounded like 1st day purchase… Still got SNES FF2 import game in my bedroom.

Then I noticed it was just the original one with no hd cartoonesque beefed up graphics ala Street Fighter and worst of it, it’s just 2 player coop. I should’ve been 3p like the arcades. At the moment I wasn’t considering the XBLA release as fantastic…
.
Until I discovered it will include magic sword game. That quite balances the thing up again but still I’m on the fence.

Maybe releasing each at 400 points would be a customer friendly move but still it’s a great pack. Let’s see how much they improved the two games (as far as I’m concerned music was redone) and if this compensates the dissapointing some had not getting XBLA release last week.

By beefing up the graphics I meant doing the same transition from Street figter 2 to SF4 done to a FF retail game. After all they both (SF and FF) shared stuff like the burning victim animations, etc.

Hmm, bit of an odd one this. They double it up rather than release them seperately and then don’t include the name of the second game in the title.

Sounds like damned good value for the price, especially with network mulitplayer
