I intend to try out both but shave 400 off Rocket Knight and you’ve got a deal. Even if it turns out to be the fourth-best Sparkster game it’ll be worth that.
(Major, the page for ToW says 1200. Can we get a confirmation?)

I purchased Rocket Knight on steam preorder for 11.99. I’ll try the other.

Speaking of things on wheels, wasn’t there supposed to be some kind of Avatar-based racing game? Free to play, customizable cars and such? Whatever happened to that?

    @CyberKnight
Yeah Joyride. I would like to know what the deal is with it also.

Joyride has been asked about on this blog numerous times over the last several months. Unfortunately Major has completely ignored all questions concerning the title. This along with the fact that no media outlets have mentioned the game in months leads me to believe the game isn’t coming.

Don’t think Major’s gonna be able to tell you much on Joy Ride, though he did mention on the podcast that he won’t be releasing a posting telling about whas coming out in June because of E3, so i would have though a release will be announced then after it first being shown at last years show

Been waiting on Things on Wheels ever since i heard about it first time (about a year ago), and at 800 MS point tag, it’s pretty much a given.

I’m gonna have to play the demos for these games, the videos don’t do much for me.
@Fufz I also saw that TOW had a 1200 point price tag.

Joyride was pushed back some month and will be released in the course of this year’s E3. For free, of course.:)

I have been asking for a revolt remake for years on many different comment streams on many different websites. Now this comes out, seems very similar. Where are my royalties Major? Hey yeah, and Joyride, I’m hoping they mention more about it at E3, and how cool would it be if they said it will be released a few days later! I thought they were holding it up previously due to Sega Superstars racing. Now we have this Arcade release I fear they will hold off much longer.

I’ve been yearning for a Rocket Knight sequel ever since Sparkster. So it looks like I’ll easily pick up Rocket Knight.

Things on Wheels also looks appealing, as long as I don’t purchase the game to discover that half the content is reserved for future DLC, as the developers pulled with their previous game, Mad Tracks. It’s not like I have gripes with buying DLC for a game that’s worth it, but when you intentionally scale back your game to make a killing on expansions, that’s where I draw the line.

Is it 1200 or 800? 800 I’m sold. 1200, I’ll wait for it to be 50% off someday.

Sparkster may be a nice game, as far as the old ones were but it’s price tag draws me back, specially considering I should have enough points right now If microsoft made honor to his word (promos related) and gave us our 400s. It really feels shady, like if you went to a store, paid something and the shopkeeper looked to another direction after taking your money (no matter how much it was) instead of giving your stuff.
    .
As I said, it might be worth 1200 points but I ain’t gonna buy another points card this week just for this. Toki HD would’ve been much tempting.
    .
TOW seems to be the kind of game I love but lately we’ve got loads of those if we count mad tracks offer, sonic racing, scrap metal… not to mention joy ride will be released this summer so, I guess I’ll pass.
