Two cool looking games to try out! Would the sequel to Metal Slug XX be called Metal Slug XXX, for adults only? 1200 points. . . you know what that means. . . Let the price bashing begin!!!

Is Ralf able to go around doing the Galactica Phantom on everyone? Nah, I suppose the game would become joyfully broken. :p
But alas, too pricey for me right now. Still, I’ll give it a go.
Aqua too, I like a twin-stick shooter here and there.

Now if I may, I think it’s time we heard about some XBLA games that have been in the pipeline, and in many cases ready, for ages. You’ve got a fantastic lineup here but we’ve heard nothing about them!
So, any more info on at least one of DooM 2, Quake 3 Arena, Sonic Adventure, KoF2002UM, Crazy Taxi, Hydro Thunder, “Project Berkley 2”, Jet Set Radio and any others I’ve forgotten would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I really am not interested in this week’s releases, too many other big games, RDR and Alan Wake. I really want to play Lead and Gold but M$ hasn’t released it yet. I was told by a Dev it runs great on the 360. So what is the hold up? It has been out on PS3 and PC for months NOW!

The should have released Lead & Gold before RDR, it would have sold like crazy. Now I dont see it selling as well since RDR has been released.

Interesting, more XBLA games should have Avatar awards imo, cheers for the link!

I rther Aqua proves itself as being good (which it dosent) than relying on some shitty avatar clothing.

As for Metal Slug, already got a “copy” on PSP so I don’t really want another.

Yeah, boring offers this week. Already have Metal Slug 3 for XBLA and its still great. No need to have another Metal Slug. Aqua seems to be just another twin-stick shooter to me. There are better ones out there (not speaking about GW, but about some indies at a lower price than 800).

Christ, Metal Slug XX is a poor effort. Same crappy sprites and in tiny 4:3. I wouldn’t mind but the only screen adjustment is stretching it and turning it into a blocky mess. And that’s only on my 23-inch monitor, I feel for people with proper TVs.
Sorry but for 1200 points I want an HD filter, proper upscaling and remastered sounds at least.

1200 points for a very poor neogeo emulator is bad
and i wont be touching it

i would even pay 800 points with the quality of the thrown together
    emulation core

I guess Leona is going to be a paid DLC for this version of Metal Slug as well?😦

…Me thinks Aqua has enough production values + content to be worth 800. All hail to Geometry Wars and booyah this one ? Really ? ¬_¬
    .
Metal Slug xx is yet another metal slug. They should pack em all in a disc ()xbox 360 wise) and sell the compilation @ $30 if not less. Man, they used the same bones fleshed out in diffent ways for ages!

and what people won’t notice is that the PSP and NDS versions are $20-$30. Still, I can’t blame em, there is some voice in my head telling me that $15 is to much for an XBLA version of Metal Slug when I can get the anthonlogy on on Wii/PS2 for $20

The different between the PSP & NDS version to the Xbox Arcade version is…that one is a physical copy versus a digital copy. There is a big different between the copies. The problem with SNK is that they done this before in the Xbox/PS2 era, they tried to sell their games from $40-$50 trying to justify that it worth that much. They even refuse to port it to the PS2 because SCEA were asking them if they can lower the MSRP or price…

Yeah what happened to that FREE game we were supposed to get…Jeez its been so long I forgot the name to it…It has something to do with Xbox Avatars and driving….so is that ever going to be released?

    @EveofLight:
Your post sounded sarcastic but, just in case you were actually being serious, it’s supposed to be called Joyride and according to a number of old reports on a few websites I’ve come across, it was apparently due for release last winter. It looks pretty fun and I wouldn’t mind dropping a few space bucks on additional bits and pieces in it. Hopefully it’ll be released either for the 300th game (kinda doubt it though) or sometime this summer.

Aqua is a very bland, uneventful dual stick shooter. It is has pretty much nothing going for it in the field of innovations. And escort missions… lots of them… Do not buy.

@Kroesis – Not sarcastic at all, I actually forgot the name of the game. My friends and I were talking about it and we could not come up with the name. I remember I was impatiently waiting for that game and wish it would be there every time I turned on my Xbox. Let’s hope that it is the 300th game and they do give it out for free as promised.

The metal slug games are awesome, but 1200 is really WAY too expensive for this particular offer.

The Wii has a BETTER Metal Slug port (with more upscale options) that includes every arcade Metal Slug game that was made before XX, for a price that is only slightly more expensive than the 1200 points you expect us to pay for XX alone. Fail, Microsoft, big fail. At least do your homework before randomly assigning it a price.

I will wait to buy it until it becomes a deal of the week for 400 points or so.
