  1. As far as I’ve seen from the trial version, the game is well worth 800 msp.
    .
Fun game, multiplayer, and avatar awards/suppor wich like it or not, adds value to it.
    .
Still on the fence cause prince of persia classic and doom 2 are still arround and despite liking all of them I’m trying to not buy so many arcades per month as I’m doing lately…

  2. The only XBLA game I’m intending on downloading this summer is Monkey Island 2 but this looks like a laugh so depending on the demo it might be an impulse buy.

  3. I’m definitely looking forward to the demo and am glad that it is not 1200 MPs. Hope it’s simple enough that the kiddo (a big Peanuts fan) can play without too much difficulty… Too many good arcade deals lately – haven’t had time to play them all!

  4. This game is great
I’ve been playing it for a while, the single player is wonderful and then it’s got a very robust online multiplayer.
Right now I’m ranked #1 (I’m pretty sure that’s for the entire universe)in dogpile but I know that’ll change once more people keep on getting the game.

  5. Totally worth the 800msp asking price. If you liked Crimson Skies you’ll love this little gem. I Played a couple single player missions and some dog fights on Live. So far it’s really great! Do yourself a favor and at least try the demo. Don’t let the cuteness of the Peanuts gang shy you away from this excellent title.

  6. Remember guys if you plan on trying it out you get a chance to play the MP for 30 mins. I don’t know what it is but this XBLA title seems more MP focused especially since this is the first option on the main menu. Crazy fun online.

  7. I thought this might be ok, even -quite- good. But wow! I agree with ‘Ark Hunter’ everyone (first time ever i reckon) seems to be agreeing and loving this game. I have to check it out right now. May be an immediate buy. Cool 😀 !

  8. @r3dreck: 400 points? Really? Almost NO Arcade games are released at the price of 400 points any more, except for the occasional rare gem like Chime. 800 points is the new base price now, and even games released at that price are becoming lesser in numbers as more games are being released at 1200. You need to be a little more realistic about your price expectations of Arcade games.

  9. I just completed the single player campaign, fantastic.
It’s got a bunch of different gameplay requirements and none of them feel unfair because these controls are so solid.
Tee multiplayer is awesome, I haven’t even tried them all because I’m hooked on one of them, I can’t wait to try the rest.
For gameplay and content this game is a steal

  10. Wow. Just wow. Are the people behind this somewhat affiliated with the team that made Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge? Because it plays damn near identically.

The game is amazing. Instant purchase for me, especially since I can no longer play Crimson Skies online. The coop, both local and MP, plus the MP modes are well worth the 800 points.

  11. Charm charm charm. Smart Bomb has done it again, as I also enjoyed Snoopy vs. Red Baron on PS2. (It resembles that more than Crimson Skies, of course) Developing this for XBLA was smart, they’ve distilled it to something akin to Battlefield 1943, but a great deal funnier.

Gotta say, I want them to patch in an art viewer if it isn’t already there. The promo screens for buying the full version were laugh out louding. 😉

  12. I have to admit I couldn’t resist buying it after few minutes of trial.
    .
Gameplay is enough simple to make it fun from the very start but so solid to have an involving and deep multiplayer. IMHO It never feels cheap neither campaign nor multiplayer; even with worst connections, you can outwit your enemies if you are brave enough 🙂
    .
Seriously, it’s a right priced game and well worth 800 msp. It would be ace even if it wouldn’t have featured the peanuts (and licenses cost money to developers) cause the gameplay is great and production values are high standard (good graphics, music, functional HUD, coherent menus, unlockables…)
    .
Whoever wanting this at 400 msp should think twice because it feels the same as wanting it for free or asking for i.e. Red Dead Redemption unopened and at launch date for just $5.
    .
See how people don’t complain when a game is GOOD and actually is priced right. The only way someone won’t like this one is in case that person didn’t like flying/combat games from the start. See you on the skies dogs!

  13. After playing the demo I purchased the game and think it is a great laugh for short bursts online.

Judging from the comments on this post it seems like people want solid 800 point games that don’t try to be anything they are not. Snoopy sticks to what it is good at and offers a solid online experience for 800 points. Thumbs up, I’d like to see more games like this.

  14. Tried the demo, wish I hadn’t as i’m very tempted to spend the 800 points I have saved up on it…

Actually, as I’m writing this, I’ll cave in and get it. Hopefully MI2 will get released next month else the wife isn’t going to be too impressed about me spending more money on arcade games!

  15. Hello everyone.. I’m from Italy and this is my first post. Just to say that I got this game yesterday and I’m happy for it. Add me if someone want to play something. 🙂 ByeBye!

  16. I’m starting to regret spending the points on it. It was fun at first but multiplayer – which is the real meat and potatoes of this title as missions are short and easily beaten in a couple hours – is a frustrating mess.

It’s terribly difficult to see people, terrible lag combined with extremely poor hit detection (being hit by a line of sight weapon by someone who is behind me and flying the opposite direction when he fired, and most of the players I end up with have yellow and red ping indicators, don’t have this issue with RDR or Blur), weapons are terribly imbalanced (I’ve died more from the leech weapon than from every other weapon COMBINED), turrets are extremely overpowered, and within 24 hours of the game’s release there are people already at the highest rank on the leaderboards with everything unlocked?

Yeah, it was fun but it’s no Crimson Skies. At least in Crimson Skies I wasn’t magically dying to weapons I never saw.

  17. Gah I hate this, I have 600 MSP and I need 200 more, and since I can’t buy points online for some reason, I have to buy a retail 1600 MSP card at the store >.

  18. @ Captiosus77
    .
I’ve got 1 red bar as ping and lag wasn’t so terrible then… you really can outwit enemies even in poor connection conditions, and for God’s sake US guys have way better bandwich than some other countries out there…
    .
I’m halfway to the highest rank and don’t even played more than 3 campaign missions. By no means I’m good at the game, but personally I found that every trick has something to get countered with. Even turrets wich can end up being dead traps for the guy that’s in.
    .
IMHO the game is enough fun even in the poorest condition and this rarely happened to me. A tip to see enemies; is to pay attention to your crosshair’s color; if it gets red you better shot 🙂

  19. I played the demo and by only have one mission I wasn’t too sure would I buy it but I am glad that Smart Bomb added a 30 minute online trial for dogfight mode and after one game it was an straight away buy.

  20. The trial doesnt do this game any justice ( 1 training mission wtf ? )
Took me about 20 mins last night to find an online game ( found one person only, they quit after 2 mins )

Dont let any of that put you off though, the full game is a total blast! 800 points is awesome

Compare this to the amount of value you get for 1200 worth of MW2 map shovelware!

  21. Finding Snoopy quite addictive for a pick-up/put-down multiplayer game! I’ve not had any issues with finding a game but then I’ve been playing it at peak hours.

Most (if not all) of the weapons can be countered in some way (I’m loving the Rocket/Aerial mines [name escapes me at the moment] combo – got my first Flying Aces online win with that). Probably the best 800 points I’ve spent on an arcade game so far.
