Woo Snoopy Flying Ace! Also, I don’t see Alpha Protocol up there… not surprising, because I don’t know 1 person that bought it. But despite some glitches and average graphics, I’m having lots of fun!

The absence of Alan Wake is sad. I really hope that game sold well, if it didn’t I’ll be a sad panda. Hoping to see Green Day Rock Band somewhat high on the list next week. Currently really enjoying myself thus far.

Red Dead in spot 2, besting Halo 3… yep, this is what I call a surprise hit. Not sure if Rockstar San Diego was expecting it to be so big. But the game is really really good…

Alan Wake has no XBL play that’s why it’s not featured here, these aren’t sales charts.

You’d think they would have figured that out by now, derp.

Having no online play means nothing for a new release. Sure when people complete a single player only game they will go back to their online games. But in the first couple of weeks of a games release when the number of people playing the game at the same time is at its highest, gives an idication of how well it sold. Alan wake didnt sell well at all, thats why it’s not in the top 20 most played games. It’s only sold 378,000 worldwide in 3 weeks. Mass effect 2 is single player only but it sold much more copies and was in the top 20 for quite a few weeks.

They should have delayed Alan Wake; too many good games came out around the same time. We had BFBC2, Splintercell and RDR all within a few weeks of each other. I know I decided to leave purchasing Alan Wake because 3 new games was more than enough for me, I assume a lot of other people felt the same way.

@CaptAwesomeFace All games now are supposed to be XBL Aware, that also means that Xbox Live is aware of them and can calculate how many people (only those that log in to XBL, obviously) are playing a certain game in a given week. It’s not sales, it’s a total of how many people are playing what game. Pure storyline based single player games will always drop off the charts (if enough people play them initially) faster than games with multiplayer.

Why is Snoopy #1 in arcade titles AND #20 in Xbox 360 Top LIVE Titles? I thought the two were seperate (Arcade and Retail), if not then Snoopy has done well and not surprisingly!

Wait, sorry I just found out the answer to my question. Should’ve read the bit at the bottom, the Arcade list shows full version purchases and not UU’s playing the game. So Snoopy has done well to get on the Top List at #20

    good for Red Dead.

it is kind of strange that Alan Wake couldn’t crack the top 20, I’ve read a lot of positive reviews of the game (although I have no desire to get it since I’m not really into games like it) either it didn’t sell well or maybe it should have been pushed back so as not to clash with Red Dead’s release

Alan Wake may not have multiplayer but it has Live activity else it wouldn’t have any achievements etc..

Plus Major Nelson said a couple of weeks ago that Alan Wake was at no 21:

So, as you’re apparently fond of saying.. derp

    @churino99:

It’s not Live multiplayer play that counts – it’s playing a game while connected to live. So as long as they’re signed into Live while they’re playing, it counts.

Snoopy Flying Ace! The little XBLA title that could (crash the top 20 of the “Big Boys”)
Also good to see people “party like a Rockstar” with RDR and GTA IV…

FIFA 10 is staying strong, too, still in the top 10.
Come to think of it, since I need my FIFA fix and I don’t have FIFA World Cup 2010 yet…
*pops disk in, adds to UU for next week*
