Bah, the multiplayer demo? Are we going to get a SP demo as well eventually?

Normally I would just go “lol, no” and walk away. But the guy in the podcast really wanted people to play it claiming it truly was different then most licensed games. Because of you random community/PR guy who was on MNR, I will download this. I hope your words hold true.

The demo is a lot of fun, but good lord, can we get some single-player demos for once? This trend of publishers pushing multiplayer-only demos is really annoying. Forcing you to jump into a game full of other people without the slightest idea how to play is not a great way to sell the game.

At least offer a tutorial mission, or even the option to play with some bots. Anything!

Amen, QualityJeverage. I played the Halo: Reach demo once. I had no idea what I was doing, and at the end of the game, some jerk yelled at me for sucking. I never played the demo again. Is this the kind of experience that Microsoft wants to promote?

awww boo hoo some guy yelled at me, boo hoo i have to figure out how to play with real people …. perhaps you should go play viva pinata or some other no pressure game while the real gamers will just jump in an learn how to play and not let comments from others scare them away.

that being said i had hoped it would be fun and it is … i wish you could try out the other classes and perhaps another map would have been nice but still it’s fun and i am looking forward to the release now

I’m not worried about what people say to me Sausage, that’s not my problem. I’d just rather learn at my own pace, some of us might even prefer single-player to multiplayer (Crazy right?).

Point is, I’m not a huge fan of competitive multiplayer, never have been, and I don’t like this trend of multiplayer-only demos being released. A demo is designed to sell you on the game, and when it only actually demonstrates half of what the game has to offer…well. You see my point.

Doesn’t make me any less of a “real gamer”, I just apparently like different things than you do.

the fact of the matter is that while single player demos are nice most people will spend much more time with the multiplayer mode then the single player mode (if the multiplayer is good) and i think that most would agree that no one wants to put down 60 on a game that they find out sucks and to that end i think that if you have a multiplayer game a multiplayer demo is in order and this transformers game has been touted as a largely multiplayer game from the beginning

Despite the fact that the douches of Activision are publishing this; this game is freaking sweet! It definitely feels like a Transformers game. Day one purchase!

I dunno it’s only supposed to have 8 multiplayer maps and molten is pretty small considering some of the transformers fly. I also thought they tried to make some of it look a little too movie along with the sounds.

Hey Kroesis, my wife really cant stand Dragon Age, I really dont know why, she is a huge fan of Oblivion, I think she just prefers the open world style RPG as apposed to something more linear. Strangley though she loves story driven games too, I mean I have to play Bio Shock with her just so she can keep with whats going on.

Also actually got around to playing the Transformers demo last night, really unimpressed, I hope the single player is better cos I thought the multiplayer sucked, I didnt feel that the actual characters animation was too great, also they felt a bit blurry. And yes before you ask I am using a 1080p tv (and a good one at that). Saying that I learnt a while ago you shouldn’t always judge a game by its demo, I hated starwars force unleashed demo, but loved the game, same goes for fuel.

Im impressed! I hate MP only demos too. Its not a good trend at all. I would prefer not to jump in with a bunch of people, not knowing what im doing. Its not that big a deal though, its better than no demo…
