    I love how you’re not even promoting the release of Alan Wake’s first DLC. That should be a big deal for Xbox.

    I remembered when this game hit the arcades. I’m a little curious about the demo. But to tell you the truth. . . not really.

    It’s a good quality live arcade game. Takes me back to the time when I visited the arcade at the mall.

    It tries to be better by allowing 10mins of online play. Either way it’s just not as good as the classic version.

    I absolutely loved Hydro Thunder on Dreamcast. One of my top 50 games of all time. I just bought this, and I’ve only had a couple of races, but it captures the style and spirit well, plus it has online play and avatar awards. I think it’s great!

    Many thinks this is a remake, but its a sequel. Its a brand new game, and not some port of an oldie. All tracks is new, and it also supports DLC, new modes and online. + awards, gamerpics and achievements.

    This game feels like the original, so they didnt ruin the game.:)

    Its worth 1200 points, and its one of the best arcade games on Live. This is a game that have fun for a long time.

    Huge fan of Hydro Thunder. Played the trial and it didn’t disappoint. I will definitely purchase when it is on sale for 800 points. I buy all XBLA games at 800. No more than that.

    Ill be getting Hydro Thunder Hurricane later today and yes its worth the 1200 points. Hey Major, why aren’t you promoting the new Alan Wake DLC? Alan Wake is easily my game of the year so far and its a Microsoft published game. So why no support for the game when theirs a new DLC for it that came out?

    Actually Hauz20, you should take a look at IGN’s review of the game, it is BRUTAL. This game looks fine, but a game of this calibur does not deserve to be 1200, and I noticed that seems to be a trend here; if Castlevania: HoD is 1200, I will be forced to get it…BECAUSE I NEED IT!

    Disagreed. IGN’s the black sheep, all the other reviews have been great, and I happen to think IGN’s flatout wrong too.
    Load times aren’t long, framerate is solid, graphics are fantastic for an Arcade title, and the gameplay is great. Give it a trial, you’ll soon see IGN’s review for the bull that it is.
    I think someone at Vector Unit must have pissed in Arthur Gies’ cornflakes, Hydro Thunder is what Xbox Live Arcade, and the oft-misused 1200 price point, was made for.
    Gamers, you really do make me despair sometimes. You’ll slag off a proper game like Hydro Thunder yet lap up bland and dull tripe like Limbo? *sigh*

    I wasn’t a huge fan of the Dreamcast version. Too many other good racers on it. But i did like it alittle at the arcade. I am however, very impressed with the XBLA version. It just has that fun factor alot of games are missing nowadays. Impressed, and happy. 5* fun.

    Got it!. Somehow it’s not as good as the Dreamcast version but the online element totally makes up for it. Great game!.

    @Master Mudora:

    Not really since only IGN’s review has been horrible, everyone else (like Gamespot) gave it 7 or higher out of 10.

    Also Major Nelson, you REALLY need to promote the Alan Wake content on here since it came out yesterday but there’s not mention yet if it was a MW2 map pack, there would a blog post right away. Sad considering Alan Wake’s an amazing game that’s exclusive to XBox 360 while MW2’s a POS that has DLC map packs costing as much as these arcade games (with 2 rehased maps!)
