Disappointment for me. Aliasing just burned my eyes. IA fail. Hope the final game will be ok.

Graphics have some aliasing issues and a weird sheen. Otherwise, the demo is very good. It’s very polished and the cinematic feel is well integrated into the gameplay. Soundtrack also adds greatly to the feel. I took some time to steal a bus and just cruise around after completing the main part of the demo. I’m downloading the PC version now, so I may go with that one even though I generally prefer to play action games on the 360.

Played through the demo twice because it is just oh so nice!
~
A real “adults” game! Very very fluid game play. Great voice acting by the characters. Think of you now playing a part in any well made Mafia Hollywood movie.

Very impressed and I know I have gots to have it!
Strangely, never ever played the original Mafia. But not going to skip Mafia II.

You play as the character Vito.. After the opening cutscene (which looks awesome thanks to amazing graphics IMO) , you’re supposed to take down this guy who’s obviously on the wrong side of the Mafia. Very early on you get the sense that Vito is new in “the famila”, and that this mission is for him to prove himself…

Not going to spoil it for anyone else! Either Pre-Order or try the demo..

Pretty fun demo! It’s nice to see the original gangsters getting some sandbox love again. It’s SO awesome getting all dressed to the 9s all Mad Men style. The car handling was a bit wobbly, but then I guess the cars back then were actually like that anyway. It’s also cool that they added real vintage Playboy centerfolds into the game, but considering the time period of the game and that Playboy didn’t first appear until 1953, I’m not sure why they included that, unless there’s some time-jumping in the game. But I digress… overall it looks like a pretty fun old-school gangster game that you’d like if you enjoy GTA-style sandbox games. I was originally on the fence about this game, having only seen a couple video previews of it, but now this demo has me sold on pre-ordering it!

cover system annoyed me, especially after playing GTA, Reddead and Mass Effect2… having to press A to come out of cover is stupid. Also I hate the crosshairs.. but hopefully its just because its the Demo.
