Picked it up. Haven’t played multiplayer yet but it controls pretty well and the blitz mode was kind of fun, even just in single player.

Avatar awards are incredibly easy to get. Already got them all.

for some reason I can’t add it to my Que. I will keep trying tho. Anyone know if this is any good? Screen shots look decent, but looks can be deceiving.

This game looks awesome. It’s reminds me a lot of Team Fortress 2. Looks like since Valve didn’t want to spend any money updating TF2 for 360 another company now made their own version and will probably make millions off of it. Good job valve.

Valve wanted to release updates for TF2 but since Microsoft forces developers to charge for DLC,they said no thanks since the install base for TF2 is far less than it is on the PC.

Any whooo Monday Night Combat looks like good times….cant wait to try it out, whaddya guys think??

I believe the actual reason was that TF2 on the 360 was already made to make use of what the 360 had to offer. The new updates greatly increase whatever power is being used so they are trying to work around the limitations of the 360 by fiddling with the updates and making it workable. Although given the lack of news surrounding it, they’re not getting anywhere fast.

so what are the avatar awards? I just downloaded it, but haven’t had a chance to really check it out yet, but from what little I’ve seen looks pretty fun

@wolfzero01 There’s a MNC T-Shirt and the MNC Mascot which I’m assuming is a prop but I haven’t checked to know for sure.
Would make sense for it to be a prop since almost every XBLA game I’ve downloaded recently that has avatar awards has had one T-Shirt and one Prop for their awards.

I got is ITs Awsome Crazy Fun expect when you get a bad team and you lose like instanly or there is a Gunner Noob on the other Team that just sits back and sprays you before you even get near him

I was wrong. The other Avatar award is a mask of the mascot.
@Boe2 I believe it’s in two weeks, right after Summer of Arcade is over.

I just bought it because its a great game, and it have a nice atmosphere. The 3 Avatar items unlocks at the beginning of the game.

I will buy 3 of the 5 summer games. Already got Hydro Thunder, Monday Night, and then Tomb Raider. I’ll skip Limbo and Castlevania.

I wasn’t at all convinced by the videos released before the game, looked just like a Team Fortress 2 rip-off.

How wrong was I – this turns out to be like a firefight co-op experience, but far faster and frantic. There is also the Crossfire mode which is team vs based and to finish off, a single/split-screen local play. Enemies come in waves as you defend the central “moneyball” – when that dies you lose. More than this tho, there’s a kind of tower defence type tactic to it – you can build defence turrets to help keep off the onslaught. I’m a convert, and I really didn’t think I’d be purchasing this one.

Not been totally convinced by the summer of arcade before this, but I parted with my 1200 MSP for this one. Just hope enough others do as many of the MP XBLA are now almost completely dead

I don’t want to download the demo because I know if I download it I will like it and buy it, but I don’t think it will get the support it should get.

IMHO the worst summer of arcade release. The over the top ‘American sports event’ presentation is really annoying. Not sure that carries well, internationally.

Not worth my money. Timed demos suck so much, almost as much as this 1200 points trend…

I was sure that I would get 1200 points back after the Summer of Arcade …
but Hydro Thunder and this game where really disappointing. I will have to make due with the 400 points back for Limbo, Castlevania HD and Lara Croft.
