Free DLC? Awesome. Can’t wait to try this out. This is is basically a free game so I don’t really have any other choice than to pick it up. Need more storage though.

To be honest I thought the game should have been delayed until the online co-op was ready as opposed to rushing it out, however the first and free DLC does go toward making up for that.

However I’m not too sure about the time limit on it but yeah okay. I’ll give this a whirl later, heard good things.

Played and completed this yesterday, superb game, certainly the shining gem of Summer of Arcade.

It has that Tomb Raider vibe to the whole thing and actually, the revisioning in 3D isometric has given a new and fresh feel to things. You can finish it in 5 hours odd, but there’s good replayability there. Pity about the lack of online co-op at launch tho – just hope people are still playing this when it patches:/

    Big thumbs up from me.

I can’t wait to try this out. However I wish that purchasing stuff from the Marketplace on xbox.com was a much more fluid experience. It seems like you have to jump through a lot of hoops just to get anything done on that marketplace. Does anyone know what I’m trying to get at??

Just a word of caution not to get too excited ……… I bet the ‘free DLC’ is just the multi player modes of the game – stuff that should have been included at the start anyway !!!

So to any who have played it……….Is it worth the 1200msp?!? Or wait for it on the DOTW? which prob wont be until forever.

If you’re worried about this time limit, just download it anyway whilst it’s free.

This sure is one big arcade title at 2 GB.

I’ve never been fond of Arcade titles, I really should apparently a lot of the games are decent, Limbo in particular is getting incredible ratings.

Grubish360, do you mean how you have to click through so many things just to add a game to your queue? I get irked at that too. I’m using Safari and Firefox and sometimes that pop-op window doesn’t come up, or I’ll click “Add to Queue” and nothing will happen, so I have to double-click. It would be nice if the login boxes were right on the Marketplace page and if they could do away with that pop-up window nonsense.

I’ll probably be buying this up later after playing the demo. I need a good summer Arcade game like last year’s Shadow Complex. The other ones this summer didn’t do it for me, especially Castlevania Not-HD.

@weakwill. I think you have until the 31st August to get the summer of arcade offer.

@dirty whirlwind & a peeking duck, it doesn’t matter if it’s for multiplayer or not.But the DLC, it’s not FREE, it’s just for the first 30 days,so after the 30 days you have to buy IT.And by the way this game is incomplete, not as advertised. As EXU said, this game should’ve been delayed.I’m going to download the trial just to play it a bit, because I know it is a good game.Since I don’t have a twitter account and I couldn’t participate for the free code and of course Major Nelson isn’t going to send me a free code.I’m going to wait fot the PS3 version, and buy it there or get it for half the price.I need to evaluate XBL vs PSN+, because I’m not paying for both.I don’t care for friends, I can make new ones, all I care is gaming.Me,myself and I.

Jesus Christ! 2.02 GB??!! This is one huge “Arcade” game! This is waaaaay over the limit (or did MS finally remove that limit?) and is this the biggest one so far?

Yeah, in Major’s most recent podcast, one of the developers discussed how they really wanted to go all out and take advantage of the limit. Personally, I’d say it’s a bit much.

This game is pretty good, though I prefer the third person titles over what I played in the trial of this. It’s still decent though. My points are saved for ME2 DLC and Scott Pilgrim lols

TINGO: I’m pretty sure that they mean that the DLC will be free to download for the first 30 days, and if you’re not grabb it in the first month you have to pay for it. And for everything else you’re going on about, I have no fucking clue what you’re talking about.

1200 points and no Live Co-Op @ Launch? Fail. Guess i’ll consider buying it late September when it works the way it was advertised but by then i’ll probably be knee deep in Halo Reach and not interested anymore.

T 1 N G O: more FUD. It’ll be free to download for anybody for 30 days, after which you can only get it with points. Plenty of content has been released like that. Here’s an article regarding the free DLC: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/17/first-lara-croft-dlc-pack-free-for-first-30-days-on-xbox-360/

And the DLC will probably be more levels. As Crystal Dynamics have explained: ‘The first three packs are straight-up expansions, meaning fresh puzzles and “new areas” to visit. The latter two are “playable character packs” which will let you swap out Lara and Totec throughout the entire campaign for “some other well-known videogame characters.”‘ Source: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/06/lara-croft-and-the-guardian-of-light-plunders-ps3-steam-on-sep/

@SekondaHuet I think if you look through all the Highest Rated arcade titles you may possibly enjoy the majority of them. Especially titles like Castle Crashers. They all have free trials too😛

10/10 game for me! It looks and plays amazing. I’m a big Tomb Raider fan and was a little dubious about this game when I first saw the screenshots and gameplay vids etc. After playing it I’m happy it’s nothing like I expected. Great game:). Although, I wish they’d release a hard copy to buy in stores. I don’t like download only games. I prefer to buy physical copies of the titles I really enjoy and add them to my collection.
