  1. Don’t forget to mention Battlefield Bad Company 2 is out on ‘On Demand’ for the low low price of $39.99 in the US, or the rip off price of $69.99 if you live in Australia.

  2. Oh boy, oh boy! Quake! My first shooter, only feels like yesterday when I was a little tyke not yet fully comprehending the bargain bin PC game in my hand. I was both scared and amazed going through the levels of the original Quake. I still have my copy, but the game is so old that it won’t run on my current PC. Gonna have to try and see if steam or have any love for me.

Even though this is supposedly a tad bit water down compared to the PC version, it’s still coming with exclusive maps. Gonna gave to pick it up, 12 new maps, equaling to 30 total. That’s a lot of maps.

Then X-Men, oh god yes, fun co-op goodness. I’ll probably wait for a sale though. Will also give the Go game a try. I always wanted to learn how to play it and this could be a good introduction in terms of understanding the basics.

Also, anyone here buy Indie Games? Just downloaded Soulcaster 2 and it’s really good. There’s been a whole bunch of good ones lately, I recommend keeping an eye out for Call of Cthulu and Crossfire 2.

  3. Yeah, I agree with you SamwiseM. The use of the gamepad conveys in no way the good old feel of the twitchy gameplay and the precision that the PC version has with the mouse and keyboard(Quake Live nowadays). Even the menu without the Quad Damage song is bland. I’m sorry that I feel this way.
I used to play Q3A and Team Arena alot back in the day. I was even a member of Quake3World, where we made maps and talked with members of the id staff. Paul Jaquays was the man back then!
Too bad this version has no Radiant editor.
The campaign looks alot like the old Q3A campaign, only that the progression has sometimes different branches. Some maps have changed a little, like the Crash intro, which is from QL.
Does this version also contain all the Q3A and Team Arena maps? I wasn’t able to see them in the trial version. Would love me some mpterra2.

  4. @nzkiwiwhiteboy Dead Rising Case:West is out on the 27th December priced at 800 points, you can take photos and you can co-op in it…that’s at least all i know anyway

  5. hey yeah why is BFBC2 £29.99 on GoD? can buy the limited edition with the BF43 codes and whatever else is included for £19.99,i can never understand the prices on GoD do you want it to fail or something?
