Don’t like that face button directional control scheme. Is here any way to change it to the usual press A and a direction style?

Looks great, though I’m still trying to get past 280 levels of Bejeweled 2, which has an annoying glitch where you sometimes lose your progress and achievements don’t properly unlock.

i’m pretty good at bejewelled- on a pc. On an xbox it’s a disaster. console controls mean i don’t see any point in dl’ing this.

I like Bejeweled on the PC, but I don’t think it fits very well on the 360…

I am kind of disappointed this doesn’t also include the same kind of normal game modes as Bejeweled 2. I am not a big enough fan of Bejeweled to buy both games for $20, but I would definitely pay $10 for a game that combined both styles of play.

I just played the trial… umm, what was that? That is an amazingly weird way to try to get people to buy another game. The playing for a minute thing and such a small game in and of itself, this is a five dollar game or part of some bigger Bejeweled title at this price point.

I like the 2 modes and I like the updated controls, but I too wish there were more game modes than 60 second rounds. Still happy with the game overall.

I was looking forward to this for the multiplayer matches but they went and screwed it up with the XYAB controls. At least give me the option to switch to the same type of control scheme I’ve gotten used to playing Bejeweled and Puzzle Quest with over the years.

For those still on the fence, Bejeweled Blitz Live is just a tweaked version of the Facebook game. However, thats not saying stay away. Bejeweled Blitz Live is actually quite fun. It’s only 1 minute long and perfect for that quick fix before heading back to work.

The online modes are either Head to Head, or Party. Head to Head is just that, you versus one other player. The cool thing is you can see your opponents screen, but why are you looking when you should be playing your game. Party mode provides a 16 player experience, adding a meter to the side of the screen. The meter shows the current standing of the other players, while the play screen takes over the main screen.

Hope that helps those understand the online modes before they buy.

The original Bejeweled Blitz is a standard PC game. There just happens to be a dumbed down Facebook version. So quit calling it a Facebook game.

As much as I wanted to like Bejeweled Blitz, I just couldn’t get into it. Personally, I enjoy Bejeweled when I just want a casual game of no-stress gem-matching. Blitz crashes in on the relaxation by taking things up to a frantic multi-player notch. Is this a bad thing? No. It’s just not the kind of game I want to play. I imagine those more fond of multiplayer games will like this one. Me? If I want to play a game like this, I suppose I’ll just play Bejeweled 2 or Gyromancer.
