Dash Text: Islands of Wakfu is an action/adventure game set in the universe of the world-famous DOFUS and Wakfu MMORPGs. Gameplay revolves around the complementarity between the two principal characters: Nora, the young Eliatrope, and her brother dragon, Efrim. Nora is a close combat fighter, relying on her fists, feet, combos, and dimensional powers. Efrim is a long-distance shooter who is able to fly. They breathe the Wakfu in and out, bloom Wakfu flowers, and harvest Wakfu honey that can be used to buy upgrades for both characters. Control the third playable character, the Platypus, to pick up items, interact with the environment, and find secret passages

    Wakfu reminds me of Hak Foo… I wonder if you can shoot Heat Beam Eye Blasts in the game…

    It looks great, but the main charactor looks kinda bad…

    Think I’ll wait for Bastion. Seems in a similar vein, but far better.

    This is really a beautiful game… I am buying it. Best of the three I think. One is another bullet hell game, and the other looks like it almost ripped off Shadow Complex.

      Rush n Attack? I suppose so but know this young one. Rush N Attack is game far before the advent of Metroidvania games like Castlevania SOTN which heavily inspired Shadow Complex, and RnA isn’t even like those games. My god do I hate quickly judged and uninspired labels from gamers these days.

    Played the Trial, lots of variety and systems in place. The beat-em-up targeting was too imprecise. Huge difficulty spike with the Boss at the end of the trial, and at that point I had had my fill.

    I purchased this game and plan to play it this weekend, however the Boss in the Trial alone was really unforgivable for a casual player. They’re suppose to juice up the game so we get reeled in to buy it. That boss alone made me debate on the purchase after the preview made me trigger the ‘insta-buy’ mode.

      You think thats hard? inthe dofus mmo to get from 199-200 you have to get every single point (xp) from 1-199.

      (wakfu is set in the world of 12 – from the mmo dofus)

    Dofus is the #1 french mmo with over 20,000,000 players world wide. Dofus is a turn based fighting sinular to Final Fantasy tatics. Wakfu is a mmo that is set 1000 years after dofus timeline. Wakfu is also also a VERY popular cartoon in france and xbox 360 “islands of wakfu” is set somewhat based on that.

    Dofus is a very hardcore mmo that goes to level 200, and can take years.

    Oh I should add my guild (dofus guild ) LOVES the fact you get free items for your dofus account by playing this xbox live game. AWESOME IDEA!
