I’ll be honest, this game is pretty terrible. The fighter transformation handles like crap. Protip to game devs who might be reading this and want to make a space sim: make your fighters handle like the Rogue Squadron series. Anything shy of that and it’s just frustrating as hell to control.

I guess I might be able to make it better by customizing the controls, but I shouldn’t need to overhaul one of the 3+ control schemes to make a form playable. So very glad I got the trial first.

Speaking as an owner of the 8-bit Star Raiders, this looks like it’s got a case of the Yar’s. Same name, different game. Will give it a try, but I think they just ran out of Star ____ names to use.😉

I loved that game. Played it to death. I was keen to see what they’d done to make the game better, although keeping the essence that was Star Raiders. Atari should not of allowed the name to be used. Seemed more like Freelancer than Star Raiders. Where were the stars?
