Dash Text: Discover a unique Modern God game where nature is the star: From Dust, the latest original concept by Eric Chahi, visionary creator of Another World. Behold the beauty of a primitive world pulsing with life and face the might of nature. Beware the danger of a world that is constantly changing under your command. Control the destiny of a tribe struggling to survive and help it recover its ancestors’ lost powers. Immerse yourself in a world as exotically beautiful as it is dangerous. A universe where Nature reclaims what is Hers; and you are your people’s only chance of survival.

What is the point of adding it to your queue when you have to go over to active downloads to get it to start downloading i could have just clicked on the summer of arcade link right when i turned my xbox on. Please tell someone at xbox that if you add it to your queue that it should start downloading right away

How could the game start downloading when you have to turn on your 360 to actually let it start downloading? It’d be impossible for anything to download unless the console is powered on.

Adding the trial to download queue is just one less step you have to take to download the trial, basically nothing more than a bit convenient.

Its done in the system settings, not very hard to do.  I dont have my xbox in front of me right now or I would give exact instructions.

No, that setting keeps your Xbox turned on to finish any downloads it is currently downloading when you turn it off and then shuts down when the downloads are finished. You cannot have your Xbox download anything when it is turned off.

Use a system similar to WiiConnect24 to push a notification, when the console recieves it it wakes up enough hardware to download it.

Please, no. Wiiconnect24 is one of the worst things to happen to online gaming. Having an internet function that is always on eats bandwidth, muddles advanced home networking, and even impedes with playing Wii games online. One of the first steps in troubleshooting Wii online connectivity troubles is to turn off Wiiconnect24.

From Dust is actually the “Summer of Arcade” game I’ve been most looking forward to. I seriously enjoy “God” type of games and this title really screams of pure brilliance!

I’m having a lot of fun with From Dust. I’d give it a 9/10. My only complaint is the controls are a little difficult to use precision with thumb-sticks. I imagine it would be perfect with a mouse to control your cursor.

I was pretty disappointed with this. I wanted to like it, it just looks so unique. But is also has sub par graphics – intially quirky, but close up it is well below HD quality. The controls are just odd and cumbersome, a feeling you never shake off throughout the demo.
