    I used to love the original on my old Commodore 64, so I shall be checking this one out. Hope Atari haven’t messed it up.

    The original versions was the  last game i bought for my Game Boy, back in 1992. had fun with it, will try the demo :-) 
    1200pts is a little too high, i recon. will see if the content validates this price

      I’m blown away too. I never really cared for any of the sequels, but this one just nails the feel and the vibe of the original with just enough flash to make it seem all new. Love the weapons, the controls, the hilariously ungrateful prisoners, and the visuals. It totally works.

        It gives you the throwback along with the current generation of gaming into it. Controls are smooth. And It has Zombies!!!! Love it. Well worth the 1200 MS points.

    The demo for this felt like a bad SNES game. Why would anyone want to play a 2D helicopter game with constantly respawning enemies, annoying voice overs, weird controls and sub-par graphics when there are a number of great 3D helo games out there for all systems? I can’t even stand the glorification of the military in this one: “thank a soldier”. Based on the title I would’ve much rather played a game where you lift construction materials, broken things in a disaster zone, logs in a forest setting, etc. etc. rather than another fantasy Iraq setting.

    Not bad, good gameplay, but I’ll wait for it to be deal of the week.  $15 a little high for it.  But nice little game.

    I will give it a try. Funny thing is I remember when the original came out and played it then. I actually spent 50 bucks on the Sega Master System version of it. LOL So 15 bucks is cheaper but I would really be more interested in buying it at 5 bucks.

    I loved the original, and Sega’s arcade version, but this one didn’t
    quite do it for me.  Saving the people just wasn’t as satisfying, and the re-spawning enemies annoyed me as I always wanted to clear the level and then go rescue the people, which I couldn’t do here.  The dialog, and the especially the zombies, kind of grated me too.

    I don’t think it is a bad game by any stretch, it just didn’t quite hook me in.

    Why do some arcade games have an orange header? I know purple is kinect.
    The mystery really got to me when I noticed the original Doom that was
    removed from the marketplace now has an orange header and other games
    that have come out have the original white so I know it is not a
    re-branding. I have looked at all the orange games and I can not find
    something they all have in common. I have searched and searched for an
    answer to this question and no one can give me an answer. I am going to
    get to the bottom of this and I will be posting this on all the orange
    arcade titles as well as bugging xbox support till I get an answer.
