Those look awesome… probably until you touch them. Finger print magnets. Heck, the glossy consoles are bad enough – these things you actually hold in hand. LOL.

$55 for a controller? No thanks

Hell, that is a normal price for a PS3 controller and the main reason my ps3 only has one controller.

Those look awesome. I’ll probably end up passing because the last thing in the world I need is another controller (I’ve got so many that one is still in the packaging) but man are they tempting, especially that red one.

Also, they look like they have the transforming d-pad, which is a huge plus. I will never buy another 360 controller that doesn’t have that.

OMG, I want! Sooo hawt! They would be even better without the colours on the ABXY buttons. I’d like if they were different shades of the controller’s colour; like the grey, transforming d-pad controller.

Hey, what about standard black controllers with the transforming D-Pad?

Yes, I agree, all the controllers should be like these with the transforming D-Pad and the concave sticks.

Looks awesome. Do they include the Play n’ Charge kit or are they ERP $54.99 because of LE?

I am inclined to say because they are special edition. The original silver controller with transforming D-pad was $64.99, and it had the play and charge, and these are only $5.00 more than the standard black, or white wireless controller.

I will defiantly pick one of these up. I need a new one for Halo 4. I might even keep it boxed until then.

Why aren’t these D-pads standard? Does the C-3PO controller have this D-pad?

All new controllers have the transforming D-Pad, including the C-3PO one (and yes, it is a chrome d-pad too)

It does. A lot of the newer xbox limited edition consoles have it.

Considering the price dropped $10, it looks like it’s getting to the point where it will be standard in the not too distant future.

This is priced less than the original transforming D-Pad controller (Silver) which retailed for $65.

In as far as this style of controller goes, it’s getting less expensive.

Wow. They look pretty awesome.  I’d love to get that red or chrome one.  Could definitely see myself manhandling a green one too. Kinda surprised there’s no green since it’s an Xbox controller.

Ni-MH batteries have a limited number of charges due to a charge circuit built into the pack.  Improper use of the Play and Charge kit can result in a significantly reduced life of a battery.  Only charge the batteries when they’re fully depleted and remove them from the charger immediately after they’ve been charged.

It’s best not to charge the batteries while playing, although circumstances may require you to do so.  If at all possible, purchase more than one battery to keep charged and ready for extended play sessions.

It’s also recommended that you purchase the Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit, instead of using the Play n Charge Kit.  The same rules apply, charge only after fully depleted and remove once fully charged, but you get a battery with the charger, it charges the batteries faster and in my experience they seem to last longer.

Also avoid dropping or allowing the batteries to hit hard objects, doing so can damage the charge circuit causing the battery to become inoperable.
