Congratulations to the team at Red Lynx for the great work on Trials Evolution which has set a record for the highest grossing day-one sales in Xbox LIVE Arcade history.

       After first day there were around 100-110k players in leaderboards. Just checked now – 200k. :0 Game sells like a hot cakes.

    It’s really just more of the same as Trials except with MP.  Since I never even finished Trials 1 because of the brutal difficulty ramp up, I don’t quite see the point to buying this.

      $15 for a game they could have easily dropped on a disc. It’s games like this that will destroy the $60 norm.

         I don’t get the ”i’m waiting for  sale” dudes  as well. If there is one XBLA that is worth 1200MSP – Trials Evo it is. You get much more content than most of the new retail games.

        Retail games aren’t DRM loaded rentals. Digital Downloads aren’t worth more than $10 to me regardless of content.

         Opinions are great! If they did release it on a disc I’d wait for the sale as well. I wasn’t that big a fan of the first but it was ok. I don’t see that much of a difference between this new game and the old one, (bought that on sale too), aside from competitive online and custom tracks. I don’t mind waiting and saving five or more dollars.  @ChinoM I don’t think there’s any game on XBLA worth $15. Everything I’ve ever purchased has been $10 or marked down from it’s original price.

       but you probaly pay 60 a year for COD right? this game is well worth 1200 msp. there is a unlimited amount of tracks without ever buying DLC that sounds like a deal to me

        so he doesn’t want to pay 1200 MSP so that automatically makes him pay 60 a year for COD. Only problem to unlimited amount of tracks is you got to spend the time to create them. I agree with EndrzGame give it to me for 800 points then i will think about buying it. Played the trial and it’s just mediocre nothing like all they hype was all about

        Like this other guy said, there are already thousands of tracks (hundreds rated  or more stars by hundreds more people), give it a few weeks and the only hassle will be looking through the tens of thousands of good, new tracks.

      Some games deserve it. Trials HD now (2012) doesn’t deserve a 1200 MSP price, for example, while Gotham City Imposters, Bastion, Trials Evolution or Trine 2 do.
      Fez is a wonderful, wonderful game and it’s only 800 MSP. Yet people will wait for that to go on sale too. I try not to spend 15 bucks unless they are worth it, but if you like this game, you should get it at full price. RedLynx dudes are working for Ubisoft, and the game did great, but there are so many other great indie studios that could use the cash…

    Shame it has so many flaws though.

    1. Multiplayer seems like a pain to get into a game
    2. Once in a game, there’s no way to actually race against the same people unless you create your own match and then invite those people into your game.  (IE the Rematch button starts your search for new players over again).

        you can change your search preferences for multiplayer in the settings, this makes matchmaking much faster.

      The multiplayer issue was apparently due to the record-breaking amount of people trying to get on the game at the same time. Their servers had their work cut out for them!

        I’m getting texture pop too. Can’t see it being an Xbox issue. Just to do with the way the game renders geometry I guess.

        I do have pop-ins. More specifically every time I reset the race. Not that I mind: I’d rather have instant reset with pop-ins than having a loadscreen for every retry.
        If you really don’t have the problem, maybe it has something to do with different types of hardware? Maybe the newer models got a faster hard drive?

    Great game, so I’m really not surprised. I’m ashamed to say I only just played Trials HD for the first time last night – picking up Evolution didn’t require any thought whatsoever. Even my girlfriend loves it!
