        all you would have to do is say you are now going to pricematch steam and psn, and then low and behold sales, glorious sales. I have a feeling it’s MS that doesn’t want the good sales, because it seems publishers love putting sales on steam and PSN has some good sales too.

        I love the old real game, but the trial for this made the gameplay seem dated. Not sure how, but seems like it played better back then. That may be me thinking it had better gameplay than it did, not sure.

        It DID play better back then…the poor framerate, off physics, and cruddy controls of this thing make it not a lot of fun. I really regret buying it. I picked up the old titles for the original Xbox and had a blast, though. They still have great gameplay.

        What’s funny is that I run into this a lot. I’ll think back to the “glory days” and break out my old systems, and then play them for a few minutes and go “Hmmm… were much better when we played them in the past!” lol. They were still great and all, but the new stuff is definitely a step up. There are the exceptions, but they few and far between. If you want to have a greater appreciation for what we have now, break out the Atari Classics disc. Love the old stuff, but man, we got excited over those!? :-)

        Well, that depends on the type of games that you like, but there are a lot of different genres to choose. It’s a good list for MS if we take into account that this year’s dotw’s has been very poor (do not enter into the steam page, everything’s at 75% off, pity that I don’t play through my PC) . I would like to see greater discounts and more GoD games in the list, they are only one day sales after all.
        I wanted to get Double Dragon Neon and Skullgirls 50% off but it seems I will have to wait for now.

        I have a lot of respect for the major. He’s always done a great job at being a middle person for the customer and microsoft. The big downfall of his and this site has been his reliance on Twitter. Twitter is a joke for an information site. People come to this site to leave feedback, see what’s new, etc. Instead we get about 10% of the postings we used to because Twitter must have a contract with MS or something because that’s all he uses now. I wish he’d get off Twitter and get back to being part of this site.

        He has the responsibility on taking all our feedbacks and pass along. Most part of the complains on this blgs is exactly because of the lack of sales and people asking for more opportunities to spend money.

        Myself and others always reading and posting here simply cant understand how, considering that all these complains were received and drive forward to however is responsible, in the middle of this sales season we have just a single game since these complains happens for months!

        As a GOLD member I received a ONE game promotion?

        We all want more transparency on the efforts of this gentlemen while communicating what we want to their teams and working FOR the community benefit and not againt it.

        I suggest all users here to start using twitter and facebook to actually say how bad you fell about bad deals, lack of promos, lack of feedback and whatever. It is obvioud that this blog isnt working for that purposes.

        This Blog isn’t for sales and promotions that’s why it doesn’t work when people complain, Major just passes the messages on to the marketing team and there either listen to him or not.
        Even if they gave us amazing deals every week for a year people would still find faults with it.
        I think this year I complained about maybe 4 to 5 deals only because of them being so poor but most the time I don’t complain just because i have whats on offer doesn’t mean someone else finds it a great deal for themselves
        One deal doesn’t mean it the end of the world(that was the other day)
        From the leaked list the best deal will be the walking dead sale on the 28th

    Microsoft really needs to sit down and rethink the entire pricing structure of LIVE. Titles listed over one year need to see steep, permanent price reductions. Titles more than two years old need to be discounted further still. LIVE *used* to be the best online gaming experience out there, now I’m not too sure. The quality of overall service on the other platforms have caught up to LIVE in a huge way. If LIVE subscribers don’t start seeing real benefits to paying for “Gold” as time goes on, they’ll gladly move to the other systems (obviously, duh!).

    Also, what in the world is going on with the “Metro” dashboard? It’s terrible, cluttered and awkward to say the least. It’s three steps forward and eight steps back.

    Ads should only be seen by “Silver” (free) members. Or at least make it selectable for “Gold” members via a checkbox nestled deep in a menu somewhere for the 10% that would actually bother to go and find it.

    As long as you’re going after a smartphone style interface, having the time and weather (selectable) in the upper right corner of the dashboard would be nice.

    Thankfully, I can still select my own image for my dashboard wallpaper. It’s convoluted to get there (of course), but it works. Could you please make the “frosted” white gradient selectable instead of mandatory? Thanks.

    After all this time, may I please now be able to copy my MP3’s/WMA’s directly to my 360’s hard drive instead of having to burn them as audio tracks onto a RW-CDR first? Yes, I know I can attach my MP3 player for each session, but that’s not the point.

    Being able to list prices low>high, high>low on titles would be great as well.

    As for the console coming after the 360, if it isn’t 100% compatible with my current library (on disc and downloaded), and have the ability to transfer my current titles to said new console… NO SALE. I won’t care what it can do or what the graphics look like, I won’t buy it.

    Don’t get me wrong, I love, love, love my Xbox 360! I own about 50 disc based games, and 90 downloaded titles…

    And as a poster mentioned a few days ago, “…and you don’t care”. Or at least that’s how it feels sometimes.

      You know those surveys they send you about your XBOX Live experience? This is going to get copied and pasted into that every time.

      Well they were told many times by many people in the dashboard beta how they could improve a number of things on the dash before it was released to everyone.
      Pretty much all of your gripes were discussed (adverts/time & weather/”frosted” background/prices low > high and lots more) but, they weren’t interested in any of it.
      Maybe some of the ideas will be developed in some shape or form given time, but, I wouldn’t hold your breath.
      Especially as they make more money from adverts & sponsors etc, than they do from actual Gold subscriptions.

      I completely agree with you on the compatibility issue, to thrust GoD, downloadable games and DLC down our throats to then just dismiss them (much like the original Xbox) would be a very bad move on their part.

    the main problem with all these daily deals, is that they aren’t advertised on the main part of the dashboard… talk about being hidden away. Another expert 101 from Microsoft in “How to shoot yourself in the foot” It’s almost like you don’t even want sales these days
