Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller + how to win one

Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller. I did a quick video (above) that shows a few of the features and laser etched details. I also posted more photos on my Flickr page as well.  The controller will be priced at US $59.99 (MSRP, check your local retailer for pricing) and be available world-wide when the game launches in March. Here is the official press release:

Experience Lara Croft’s First Adventure with the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller

At the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, Microsoft, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix unveiled the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller – the perfect commemorative companion marking Lara Croft’s return to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Developed in collaboration with artists at Crystal Dynamics, the design of the controller features a two-layer color finish with laser etching to create a realistic and tactile worn appearance inspired by Lara’s iconic climbing axe and the tourniquets that result from the adventure in her intense origin story, as told in this latest title. The controller also features a customizable D-pad that switches from a “plus” design to a “disc” pattern for better control, and a wireless range of up to 30-feet that allows for more freedom in your home environment as you explore and play the game.

In addition, those who purchase the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller will receive a download token for an Xbox 360 exclusive playable TOMB RAIDER character. The controller will be available timed to the launch of the game worldwide and is priced at $59.99 (U.S. ERP).

The original on playstation. It was such a breath of fresh air for the gaming community. It really brought a strong female lead character to the front lines.

Tomb Raider Legend, because of years of samey sequels and the awful Angel of Darkness, it was refreshing to see an exciting and new feeling Tomb Raider game.

The first Tomb Raider would be my favourite because of the new concept at the time, the atmosphere and all the memories it brings back.

My favorite was tomb raider 1. after you beat the game you are at the mansion and the butler follows you all over the place. I never did figure out what to do in her basement. it seemed like a hidden room…?

My favourite is Tomb Raider 3. It is the first one I got (I was about 6 at the time) and it was also the first game a played with my parents (sharing lives/levels). I also had so much fun in the mansion (when the butler chased you in his military gear, scary).

Tomb raider II just because of the abuse I gave the butler in the mansion(locking him in the fridge, firing at him with the pistols that took me ages to figure out how to get!!! :-P) can still here him moaning now, and still picture him holding his little tea tray up to his head ahhh the memories.😀

Definitely Tomb Raider 2. Not only was it the first game that made me a Tomb Raider fan, it was the first game that I was better than my brother at, which cemented me as a gamer.

I liked Tomb Raider Underworld. The graphics were easy on the eyes and exploring the levels was fun. I did miss fighting dinosaurs though. @EpicElite9

I would have to say, my favorite Tomb Raider game is the classic Tomb Raider II.
This was the first game I played (on Playstation, and in the series) and from that moment on, I was in love.
Lara’s quippy personality and hardened adventurer attitude were inspiring and captivating.
The game itself was beautifully designed and extremely immersive.
Now, lets see if this TR can top that! ;p
