Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller. I did a quick video (above) that shows a few of the features and laser etched details. I also posted more photos on my Flickr page as well.  The controller will be priced at US $59.99 (MSRP, check your local retailer for pricing) and be available world-wide when the game launches in March. Here is the official press release:

Experience Lara Croft’s First Adventure with the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller

At the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, Microsoft, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix unveiled the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller – the perfect commemorative companion marking Lara Croft’s return to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Developed in collaboration with artists at Crystal Dynamics, the design of the controller features a two-layer color finish with laser etching to create a realistic and tactile worn appearance inspired by Lara’s iconic climbing axe and the tourniquets that result from the adventure in her intense origin story, as told in this latest title. The controller also features a customizable D-pad that switches from a “plus” design to a “disc” pattern for better control, and a wireless range of up to 30-feet that allows for more freedom in your home environment as you explore and play the game.

In addition, those who purchase the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller will receive a download token for an Xbox 360 exclusive playable TOMB RAIDER character. The controller will be available timed to the launch of the game worldwide and is priced at $59.99 (U.S. ERP).

Available beginning March 5, 2013, built from the ground up for the Xbox 360 and featuring add-on content which will be available first on the platform, TOMB RAIDER explores the intense and gritty origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from a frightened young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold. In the all-new TOMB RAIDER a survivor is born.

Tomb Raider II. It was the FIRST Tomb Raider game I played when I was a kid (Wonderful Childhood Memories). I played it faithfully and ever since that game, I have loved Tomb Raider.

  • JA

The Original Tomb Raider because the graphics (at the time) were great!

  • Craig Gunter

My favorite Tomb Raider game was definitely the first one. The reason why was it was one of the first games that let you interact with a 3D environment. People forget now how revolutionary that was back in 1996!

  • Patrick

My favorite is still the original. It was the first game I played on PS1 and nostalgia makes things incredible.

  • Blo0dm0n3y

Tomb Raider 1, cause it got me into the series.

  • Anthony Harper

Tomb Raider Anniversary, because my first was Legend, but Anniversary convinced me to try the older games, I regret nothing! 🙂

  • andrew

gaurdian of light simply had the most fun with this game

  • Stephan Dieter

Hi, the best Tomb Raider game for me was my first PC copy of the first original Tomb Raider game. This was a new genre an had a lot of new idee’s… Long long time ago 🙂

  • Adam Podwika

My favorite Tomb Raider game defenitely is the first one released back in 1996! I remember playing it all by myself in dark room with only one light source – the TV screen. Every step I made in game first time I still remember, and I still remember the feeling of danger on every corner, and strong Lara character. And now when I watch all of the videos from the newest TR game I can feel nostalgia, I don’t know why. The feeling it used be back then when I was young has come todays. And I love that. I know something new is coming, the new beginning, TR is rising again ❤

  • Thomas Lee Morgan

Tomb raider the first. The innovations back then were awesome.

  • Jonathan Bussard

II was my first Tomb Raider experience, and will always hold special place with me.

  • Chip Euliss

The Original Tomb Raider because it was a blast to play and I still play it to this day.

  • Cr0wley

Personally, I loved Underworld – it struck the right balance for me in terms of exploration and puzzle-solving vs combat. That said, the reboot played fantastically at a recent Expo and I strongly suspect it will become my favourite.

  • Kenneth Hoppe

The first one made me feel like Dr. Jones minus the whip.

  • Ross Stevenson

Has to be the original for the time in my life when it came out and having such a nice figure to stare at during my early teens 🙂

  • Dustin DeFoe

Guardian of Light due to the go-op play.

  • Raheel Khurshid

Tomb Raider Underworld for its visuals and great environmental plat

  • Andrew Bocanegra

My favorite Tomb Raider was the original because it’s the only one I’ve played for an extended amount of time. And I put a lot of time into it. A lot.

  • Kelly Felhaber

I’ve always been a fan of the original Tomb Raider. It’s always been my favourite.

    Guardian of light! LOOT!!!

  • BManRS

Guardian of Light because I loved the coop.

  • Aarian Chappell

I had a hard time choosing between The Last Revelation and Legend. The Last Revelation was the first game I played as a little girl and I had the best time playing as young Lara but I think I’m going to choose Legend. I love the story and all the places she explores, the locations are really nice. The game plays well and it was also a big change from the other games. You get to understand Lara more and sympathize with her. I replay this one all the time. (:

  • Achilles337

Guardian of light was a blast to play as an arcade style game. Great in co-op too!

  • Rui Archer

Hard to pick, I would say the first when I played it on my cousin’s Sega Saturn, but I’m going for Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, because it was one of the first games I bought for PC and because Ta Prohm in Angkor Wat provides awesome scenery at the start of the game.

  • Andre

The original Tomb Raider is the best because it was the first and the best!
