    I’m passing on COD this year. I got BLOPS II as a gift, but then ended up buying the season pass. Since Defiance came out, I dont think I’ll have another game in my Xbox until theres a new xbox to play.

      for me its COD2,loved the online with that,COD4 introduced all those perks and killstreak awards and that’s where it started to go downhill for me

    When CoD loses its sales due to over saturation of their franchise and when kids realize that they don’t need to re-buy the same game every year, what IP do they have to hold onto? I think they only really have WoW to keep them afloat. They screwed over AMC with their Walking Dead game, so I doubt they will get that license back. I honestly think the CEO will be gone after this or the next year’s CoD is out. He is running the company to the ground and destroying once great IPs while lining his pockets with a ton of money.

      They have plenty of money makers, Skylanders just to mention one. But I hear ya and agree to a point. Only time will tell because every new CoD that comes out it sells more than the last one did so what does that tell you?
      If they actually made a brand new Next Gen engine for the game, I’ll get it, but if it’s a copy n paste with a bit better graphics I’ll pass on it. Just have to wait and see I guess.

        I did forget Skylands, as I just now mentioned above. I am sure they will say “new” for their engine, but seeing them give so little and ask for so much, I don’t see it happening. I see them just tweaking again and claiming it is new. I could be wrong if this will be out for the next generation, but I don’t have a lot of faith in them. I have played too many of their games and am not in the “right” age group to happily except their business practices.

      COD, every blizzard game, Skylanders, they are publishing the next 3 bungie games, activision isn’t going anywhere in the next 5 years at least.

      I did forget Skylanders, I don’t have kids so haven’t followed it except that I guess they make ton of cash on those toys/characters. WoW I think will eventually not be able to sustain them which means they have 2 franchises to milk the **** out of. Their movie/tv licenses are more of a risk and is short term cash. Bungie hasn’t released anything yet, so can’t say if that will be good or bad IP.

      Agreed they will be around for the next 5 years (probably more), but I think they will also have to fired the CEO and restructure the company within a few years.

      Based on quality and focus on customers, I personally hope that Take-Two (includes 2K and Rockstar) will surpass EA and Activision… but with new gamers so willing to overlook quality for hype and except paying more than $100 a year for the same game with tweaks, I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

      The thing is the CoD games are making them money. I’m actually surprised that they are still doing only 1 per year. How long until they starting putting them out every 6 months?

    I really hope this isn’t the only game they will be showing at the thing, especially since it’s a multiplat and the event is supposed to be only an hour long. :/

    Is this going to be one of the new games for the next gen console?, where you pay 300+ for the new console, 60+ for new games, 40+ for xbox live, and not to mention DLC for games, all ontop of your internet bill?.. nah ill stick with my new pc built until GTA comes out, then ill start using my xbox again, thats if it dosent just come out for the new xbox console, cuz i sure aint paying for xbox live anymore or a new console! … I’ve being on xbox live over 5years now .. time to move onto better gaming on PC!

    The fact that the reveal is going to be at the time of the new xbox reveal, does that mean that there may be something more about this game than just the one month advance on DLC?

      They will have the timed exclusives again like they did with Xbox 360 or maybe something else will be revealed on the 21st besides the Gameplay footage

      The problem is that COD will win this fight. Why? Because COD players doesn’t have high demands for the quality of the game. And the second problem: there are much more of those who doesn’t rise high demands for the game.

    At the Xbox reveal going by games,I am hoping to see the return of RARE(no,the proper return of RARE,like they were at the start of 360 life),PGR5 and something from Lionhead(Fable would be welcome but would love to see what else they can do)

    We hope, it is really a new game… a new engine… multiplayer with dedicated servers and without lag compensation 🙂 – Let’s see, what they will show us on the 21st of May. Will be interesting to see, what the new Xbox has to offer and if Ghosts brings CoD to a new level.
