Snagged lego batman 2… love all the lego games. Only reason I’m not holding onto my points now is that they expire 1 year after the One is released. Might as well pick up some decent stuff in this sale I guess. If only Lego Lord was $10.

Major. This is from Singapore. Is there a pricing error. Rockstar Table Tennis is priced joint highest as Lego Lord of the Rings under the Xbox Singapore site. Surely that count as a pricing error since it is the lowest item for Day 2 here.

Not really into the family games of today’s sale, so bought Crysis instead. Never played any of them so I figure I might as well start at the beginning!

From what I hear the MP in Crysis 3 is all but dead anyway. It was pretty bad when I played it a few months ago so I can see why it didn’t last.

It was as buggy and problematic as Crysis 2 and Crytek didn’t seem to want to fix either making Crysis 1 the most playable.

I have to say, I’m eating my words after yesterdays sale and todays. Really good prices, the kind of drops that make me want to buy them even though I KNOW I don’t have enough time to play them right now.
I want LEGO Batman, but I know I won’t be able to resist Horizon, Tomb Raider and Bioshock so I’m holding out, especially after getting AC3 yesterday.

The point is (and hopefully MS/Devs will see increased revenue to prove it) that these are games I would NOT have even considered getting as I was on the fence with them. They suddenly become must haves, I mean christ even my wife said last night about AC3 “that’s too good a deal not to just buy”.

Maybe there is hope for the Xbone……I hope so, as I can still easily change my pre-order.

Sadly with children/business to run/car to run/house to pay for/wife to adhere to, I have to sell my 360 to fund the next console, but it’s still 5 – 6 months away, plenty of time to enjoy this bunch of deals 🙂

      • Brian Whittington

Ya same here but i have games for my kids on the 360 so its going to them, and with 5-6 months it only comes to about $20-$25 a week to save.

  • Ryan Davis

Wouldn’t it make more sense to spread out the family titles throughout the week? It seems like people would be more likely to pick up one or two a day throughout the week than a whole bunch of them in one day.

This is the classic account has been locked problem (choose the reason why from a list of stupid reasons). It will require you to actually call MS and talk to the billing dept (cant fix it via chat), and if you’re lucky 3 days from now you’ll be able to make a purchase. Pity these are 1 day sales items !!

Well another batch of games I will not buy now that I know my purchases are not compatible with the next gen xbox. DRM was problem #1, but no backwards compat is a close 2nd. MS has been losing me a little bit every day, I will be letting my xbox live expire as well due to the Family plan no longer being available. 10 yr xbox live member says bye, bye

Your 360 won’t spontaneously combust once you buy an XBO you know (well, probably)…

Not really interested in having a stack of h/w crammed into a small space, or having to worry about home many hdmi ports my stereo can support, or if my xbox will actually work for another 2 years. I get why disc games may be problematic, but digital d/l should be a piece of cake to support.

You sir know nothing about how backwards compatability works. In order to makeXBOX360 games operate on XboxOne they would have to include the extra disc drive to read the obsolete tech and a seller ate motherboard to run the obsolete tech. Go try and run a windows XP game on windows 8. Not compatible without major tweaks. It’s not a simple yes no, otherwise they would say yes. Remember when ps3 tried to be backward compatible and it cost $600-$700??? That’s cuz all the extra hardware. You are dense.

idiot, I specifically said downloadable. And as a programmer of 30 years I do know a little about software and emulation. And p.s just to reiterate what a moron you are, almost all XP games run on Win8, that’s why compatibility mode exists. You sir are a Troll, and a stupid one at that.

Man, so glad I don’t have those simple problems. I can keep my 360 when I get a XBone. I have plenty of space and 2 free HDMI ports for XB1 and PS4. So glad I’m not letting that stuff ruin my enjoyment of gaming and keeping a console!!

PC gaming set the bar for playing the games you paid for long into the future on various h/w, Windows iterations. I guarantee, just like DRM, the decision to not add backwards compatibility support was primarily to improve MS’s cash flow. After all if you have no games to play on the XBone, you will need to run out and buy lots of new games. The box has more than enough power to support emulation, and I suspect the actual development kits are all still running on PC hardware, just like the last 2 iterations, which would make backwards compatibility a matter of recompilation using the new compilers. If someone can tell me the new dev kits are using entirely new languages maybe I’ll change my reasoning, but I prefer to believe this is just a cash grab at the cost of the consumers. MS has lost sight of it’s consumer roots, where as Sony seems to be embracing us. And on last comment to support my argument, have you noticed how easily xbox games are ported to the pc, and how almost all XBOX exclusives find their pc cousins. PlayStation exclusives rarely show up anywhere else, so maybe the new game plan is buy a PS4 for console gaming and wait for the xbox games to show up on steam.

Back Compat is not important enough, it would just make the systems cost alot more. Back when ps2 did it for ps1 i was pretty nifty since it would make games look better. With 360 and xbox orginal games the games werent fully compatible due to emulation but the usefull thing there was that the 360 could upscale those games to HD. With the 360 and Xbox One theres really no need to bother adding back compat since both consoles are already HD. Instead of back compat id rather have updated version of 360 games re-released for xbox one. A true 1080p gears of war 3 would be amazing. Also for people saying gears 3 is already 1080p on 360, no it isnt. nearly all (like 97%) of 360 games are naitive 720p the 1080p option is only upscaling it.

Don’t pay 1200 pts for it, you’ll be able to get it for less at some point. I’m fairly sure that games like Bioshock/Tomb Raider/Forza Horizon are going to drop to €/$14.99 if not more – that’s a much better deal than SODecay!

Yeah hold off on State of Decay. Even though I bought it and think it is a great game, there isn’t really much to do once you beat the game except rehash rescue missions and zombie hunts…
