I’ve been with Xbox for 11+ years and I won’t be sticking with them in next gen. Between the Xbone DRM fiasco and the pathetic Games for Gold offerings, the ONLY thing Microsoft has shown me is that they are unwilling/unable to seriously compete with Sony. They knew this service would be compared to PS+ (If they didn’t think it would be they’re horrible at thier jobs), yet they made no attempt at making it comparable. Xbox/Microsoft is just stumbling around in the dark right now, No focus on giving the end user a better experience, all the focus is on arbitrary “features” and systems that only benefit Microsoft.

Best comment on this topic so far!!!

Regardless if they knew it was gonna be compared to PS+ or not, theres a lot of M$ employees that seem to be horrible at their jobs, especially the entire marketing department & public relations.

WOW just WOW – I am a die hard xbox fan (since beta days) and have a One on pre-order but now Sony has their 2 controllers, a camera (that like kinect i will barely use) and killzone for the same price as the xbone that only has a 1 character remake of an old fighting game, one controller that you can no longer use rechargeable battery packs on, and a kinect sensor will barely get used – I can see myself dropping my pre order within the next month and get the PS4 – your guaranteed with the PS4 of people like naughty dog etc making the machine stand up and beg, no longer the case with the xbox – same drivvle being pumped out and no creative third party people really to care about.

While I’m sure there is more to it but why can’t you let us download any game we want worth $15? I think most people would rather this than playing this crappy card game.

Wheres halo 3? Fallout 3? GTA4? Farcry 2/3? Battlefield 3? Mass Effect series? Old Splinter cells? Saints row 2/3? Red Dead Redemption? HItman games? Sleeping dogs? Batman Arkham games?

ALready own GTA 4, RDR, Arkham and BF3 but it would be nice to play with mates/let them play it.

Honestly message me if you want me to pick games free for Xbox clearly I can do a better job than anyone owrking at MS now

hitman absolution + sleeping dogs are arguably worth $20 each (so $40) in 2 months I got both games and spend $50 a year.

since neither game is a game you play through for more than a months time. I arguably got $40 of value for $10 worth of PSN+ subscriptions.

now remember, PSN+ is $50 a year and both these games were just 2 months in total. if PSN+ gives 1 more good game before e3 they beat MS again.

people keep arguing you can’t keep the games if your subscription lapses, but why would you let it lapse? they basically throw games at you, it’s a gamers dream.

games you wanted but missed out on you can play,

games you bought but traded in later can be played again,

games you would have never touched otherwise you can experience.

hitman absolution and sleeping dogs are 2 of the better games I’ve played in a while, and I paid very little for them not to mention all the smaller games from psn+ oh, and the discounts that you do keep. a new arcade game with PSN+ is usually discounted a few $’s which adds up if a $15 game sells for $13 and u buy 1 arcade game a month on average you almost pay for the psn+ subscription right there.

they also had max payne 3 +all dlc for $13 or so, less than an arcade game….

When will there be games younger kids can get on their gold? I am close to canceling their gold since family pass is no more, and if they got a game as well I would consider keeping theirs.

    Like

    • O Mosqueda

The problem is XB360 doesn’t have too many successful family games, on top of that, add the fact they’ve been picking from bad to average games. Just don’t link the games to their accounts by not downloading, I didn’t link Defense Grid and I can’t download it for free even though I had an active Gold account when the blunder happened.
At least you still have online gaming, if you enjoy Gold, the bad choices of GwG are not that worth to cancel the subscription.

GFG is a pure marketing agenda with ZERO concern for ‘repaying’ their loyal customers — who have spent $600 over the last decade supporting Live. MS needs to stop pretending this program is anything more than a way to put a bullet point on their slide comparing Gold to PS+.
I actually have more content towards Microsoft because of Games for Gold. I would rather them promise me nothing additional with Live, than constantly tease me and then spit in my face.

I’m happy with it. I’ve never owned either of the games. I rented R6V long ago but only played a little. I’m not a Magic player but I’ll give it a shot. Giving us Halo 4 would be epic but I highly doubt its happening. I’ll take anything free but hopefully next gen brings us newer games even if it means you lose them after you stop paying for Live.
