Brought in the final HH pack for BL2, 1st/2nd/3rd add-on mains for BL2 and got to finish my Fallout New Vegas DLC’s, so good sale for me even though Skyrim base and Dishonored base were not discounted

Sorry you missed out of Skyrim base that was on sale the end of February for about $10. I can’t believe I got the complete game as digital for just over $20.

I bought all the story-based DLC for Fallout: New Vegas a long time ago. It’s totally worth it. I didn’t bother with Courier’s Stash or Gun Runner’s Arsenal. Even for $0.49 each, I’ll still pass. The main DLC offers SO much exclusive armor and weapons. A little online research will lead you to some great stuff.

Just be careful where you get the Halo 4 Map Pass from on the marketplace. Noticed that if you did a manual search through add ons it still shows up and trys to charge 24.99 unless you go to the sales and specials section.

An okay sale. A few of core games for these DLCs have been discounted (Skyrim, Fallout, etc.), which makes the DLC a good bargain. SR4 was a good price drop, before they took it off.

And if someone hasn’t, somehow, played the Arkham games, they’re a good deal now as well.

The SoD: Breakdown DLC is finally at a reasonable price; all it did was add longevity to playthroughs, something that I feel should have been in the game from the start. That’s just me spouting off my opinion, though.

How’s Tropico on consoles? Only ever played it on PC, but RTSs are typically MUCH better there anyway.

Just a FYI for those interested, the game BurgerTime World Tour will be delisted at the end of this month and will see a price reduction shortly (from $9.99 to $4.99). This is a policy more developers/publishers need to take when they plan on having a game delisted – announce it is happening beforehand with an appropriate price reduction. This should result in a final bump in sales before the title before it is gone forever.

I agree and MS should announce that a month in advance as well.

Yeah most of these titles you can get for cheap hardcopy with dlc for the most part.(skyrim, dead island) or most have by now.

Mainly interested in the stuff from live that needed price cuts to get. Pinballfx 2 tables finally down to decent prices. SOD dlc should never have been like 7 bucks as it was more a challenge mode and should have been offered for free as a patch, but now at least at a few bucks is more fair. THe AC overpriced to begin with dlc which was just unlocking the few kbs already in game with palettes, etc.

Mic like everyone here i check i check xbldb for price reductions (and rarely if lucky games accidently unlocked for free)

Where do you guys go to find out about games being delisted/reduced in price in advance? I was lucky to hear about the dj hero stuff in advance and grabbed it prior.

    • Michael Burden

There is no one place/site that does that – either the developer/publisher will announce it or you don’t find out about it until it is already gone, which unfortunately happens most of the time.

Thought so. Usually just checking CAG or xbldb myself. Thanks for the heads up though.

Xbox One sales? I want to stick with digital downloads but why should I pay a premium for it? May of the day one release games can be found for $50 or cheaper in disc form from multiple vendors.

Also not sure why these “sales?” shouldn’t just become the new price as many are available in disc form too for same or cheaper than the “sale?” price listed.

    • Peter

Agreed not even sure what ms’s definition of sales are sometimes. Its almost like they just ignore the current market value and go from the original price even if it was like a year ago and its gone down much lower and go from there. Only for dlc can they really do that since they have control over that access (no competition for lowering dlc costs)

As far as new games yeah ms still sticks to the release price on digital prices of 60 when other retailers are trying to sell said games with a few bucks off or with gift cards. Discounts and things to entice you to buy a copy ie: dlc, gift cards, etc. With MS its a hard full cost regardless if the bestbuy is selling the same game 10 bucks cheaper.

MS lives in their own bubble where a digital game warrants full hard copy price

Also why bother with digital when they still haven’t released the hd yet? and yeah i seriously don’t wanna do that delete re-download thing. I paid for a game and want full access to my library anytime. Don’t want my friend to come over and be like yeah i have that game but i need to delete space and reinstall this huge game it’ll take awhile. Oh and i forgot the patches as well.

I didn’t pick up Skyrim when it was on sale because I knew I’d want all the DLC. Now, the DLC is on sale, but I don’t have Skyrim. I might get the DLC and buy the game used.

Skyrim is definitely a game you should experience. I have over 200 hours in it without the DLC. With the DLC at $5 Instead of $20 it seemed like a no brainer for me to pick it up.

      • itsjustme

I agree, James. I have played Skyrim, so I know how epic the game truly is. I can get it used for under $15 (with shipping) and download the DLC for $11.22. It’s still cheaper than a used Legendary edition at $38.

I bought the DLC, but my disc drive isn’t working. What luck, right? Customer service told me they no longer offer 1-year warranties on repaired systems (they used to cost $20). So, it’s an $80 repair with a 3 month warranty, and that’s it. In my many experiences with Xbox 360 hard drive failures, it takes about a year to 1.5 years for them to go bad. They always go bad, unfortunately. I’ve had 2 systems with 4-5 repairs, total, over the years. Also, I bought a new hard drive to replace the old one that had corrupted data problems. I cannot do this anymore. I knew this day was coming. Fortunately, I’m not too upset because I have a lot of digital games on my 360. So, I’m going to look for a used PS3 and wait for the vanilla Skyrim to go on sale for my 360.

There. I hope I told my story without sounding like I’m whining, because I really am in a good mood, despite my circumstance.
