No Comic-con Badge? No Problem. Join us Thursday in San Diego

We’re planning a lot of great stuff at San Diego Comic Con later this week. But what if you don’t have a badge (they do usually sell out in a fraction of a second)? Well, we’d still like you to see everything we’ve got on offer at the Xbox Lounge.

Xbox Lounge

We’ve been able to clear access for several dozen non-badged Xbox fans this Thursday night only. Drop by, play games that aren’t even out yet, and make everyone else jealous. Easy!

Here’s what you need to know:

When: Thursday, July 24th at 9:00 PM (open til Midnight)

Where: Manchester Hyatt San Diego, 2nd Floor, Seaport Ballroom
(look for the line labeled “Xbox Community/Major Nelson”)

Who: Xbox fans 21 and older (ID will be checked!)

What you can do: Play Sunset Overdrive, Evolve, Forza Horizon 2, Fable Legends, Ori and The Blind Forest, Madden NFL 15 and much more (!) Talk to the devs. See and be seen.

Attendance is limited, but if you do have a Comic-con Badge, feel free to drop by the lounge throughout the week.

See you Thursday!

Where are the Deals of the Week?!

  • Some guy

I think it’s official, Major Nelson is dead and only Jeff Rubenstein is updating this blog.

    • Major Nelson

Actually, I am very much alive. Just quite busy and Jeff is helping out.

      • Some guy

I can see that, it’s just that while we have various sites for the 360 deals of week, there’s nothing for the xbox 3 except you or wait for the dashboard to update maybe if it feels like it and if it feels like taking a place to show it(it’s been at least 3 weeks I don’t see DOTW on my 360)

Why does Microsoft insit on shutting out those without badges throughout the weekend? Nintendo didn’t do that with their lounge last year, and it was fantastic. The con attendees already have the MS booth inside to try games on, so why make this one of the few badge-only events outside the con?
