I really enjoy achievements as they encourage me to play a game in ways that I might not otherwise. That said, I’m not one that goes crazy if I don’t have them all. Except for Condemned, 970 total still annoys me.

I’m with William on this one. I don’t love achievements but I’ll beat a game, leave it alone for a while, then come back and maybe try the achievements. Just gives some more replayability to the game for me. Just a small reason to go back. That’s why I hate progression achievements. I want those gone and instead have ones that require us to be creative so we have to play “outside the box” to get them.

Even the presenters at the E3 were venomous. MS was saying nice or neutral things about themselves and PS while Sony was “we are better and better and better.” It’s annoying because it’s how one of my friends is with android/ios. One is superior for one dumb reason alone and blah blah I’m ignoring facts kinda person.

I don’t really know what you’re talking about.. of course you’ll always be able to play your owned xbox 360 games even when they stop supporting the platform.. as for online games, well that has nothing to do with Microsoft, it’s upto the publishers of the game to decide how long they want to host servers for the games. Xbox only has control over the games they own… as for in the future with xbox one it will be a little different since Microsoft is hosting a lot of the dedicated servers for the games being elevated.

Yeah they definitely don’t have sunset overdrive master chief collection, quantum break, halo 5, gears of war, forza horizon 2, tomb raider, phantom dust, crackdown, fable.. that’s a lot more exclusives than any other of the consoles have right now.

360 was released nov 22 05 Xbone released Nov 22 ’13… after 1.5 years the 360 reached 11 mil (Halo 3 didn’t come out yet) after 9 months the xbone is at 5 mil (halo 5 hasn’t come out yet)
the xbone has 9 months to double their sales… The attach rate of the 360 is record breaking and the attach rate of the xbone is lackluster… If you have a 1 to 1 ratio that shows the xbone is doing better I’d love to see it…

Come back in March after the Xbox releases in 29 more countries next month and releases exclusives like sunset overdrive, master chief collection with halo 5 beta and the cod themed xbox one with a 1 TB had drive and I guarantee the console is doing just great.. just like it is now.

I’ll never understand people who WANT to see another console do bad. I understand people wanting the ps4 to do great, because I’m one of them but just because you like that console it just boggles my mind that you people wish for the competition to do badly. It’s sad.

my first console was the original xbox and I bought a 360 before my first job saving christmas and birthday money (I have not purchased any other console)… I should love the xbone but they’ve made mistake after mistake… I hope it does well but I don’t think it will… The only market xbox succeeds in is the U.S. and Europe… Sunset overdrive wont sell units but I’d like to play it, master cheif and halo will probably sell units but halo 4 burned me and I already own all the halos… You obviously have decided your allegiances and that’s great, but your optimism is ungrounded…

I actually did that for the first Mass Effect game. Got it $5 digital and the convenience of it (and re-excitement to play it again from the purchase) was totally worth it.

Because with digital you never actually own anything. Say xbox service goes down tomorrow for the 360 and you had deleted a bunch of games to make room for some others. Yeah you planned to redownload the other games later but now you can’t because the service you get them from is gone. Not to mention hard drives are too expensive and too limited on space to be the future. Granted I do have about 700gb of digital games from the market place (2 HDD) but I still don’t see it being the future. While it’s no where near as bad as online only games, with digital, your sort of in the hands if the individual who has control over the on/off switch.

This brings a couple of questions to mind then. Do you play RPG’s? Most RPG’s do have a quirky way to more around…great example of that is the Fallout games. I’m also wondering if you only like to play games that feel the same and don’t take the time to get to know them or was it just this one that was so bad you couldn’t give it more than 2-5 minutes?

I heard the games are good with bad qualities like clunky controls and bad combat systems. So I would put it in the same plane as maybe like Alice Madness Returns where it has it’s moments you’ll enjoy if your willing to sit through the muck.

It is ONLY available on the console right now. Not sure they are going to change it however but this is why the Titanfall Expedition DLC shows a sale but don’t have a link.

No it’s not selling very well. XB1 is currently ahead of 360 time
adjusted, but the last 3 months it’s been selling less than 360
month-to-month. In other words, unless XB1 sales increase, it will fall
under 360 time adjusted. 360 was supply constrained in its 1st year and XB1 is still struggling to stay ahead.

Xbox One needs a serious momentum boost to keep ahead of 360. Even Wii U has been outselling XB1the last few months in global sales.

XB1 won’t “become irrelevant” or lose 3rd party support, but it’s in danger of ending up selling less than the 360 did and possibly less than the Wii U in total sales.

Tier 2 countries will do very little for Xbox sales. An
extra 5-10% a month at most after the launch month. Xbox has almost no presence outside of the 13 countries they already launched in. The global picture is accurate as-is.

The 13 countries Xbox One already launched in account for 90% of 360 sales. The remaining markets are tiny.

September
is going to be a mountain of crow for certain people constantly
screaming about 72 vs 13 countries. PS4 will outsell Xbox globally in
September, like every other month.

Seriously that entire list is about 75 percent indie games lol.. it looks great at first glance, but when you go through them it’s just a bunch of rereleased indie ports from pc, remastered games from ps3, and a few good exclusives.

Just off hand thinking right now xbox has sunset overdrive, master chief collection, quantum break, halo 5, gears of war, forza horizon 2, tomb raider, phantom dust, crackdown and just like Sony they have an absolute Frickin ton of indies coming that look great. Once again, Microsoft money-hats another exclusive in Tomb Raider. Pretty pathetic. Microsoft and SE only pissed off a ton of loyal fans while attempting to get the very few customers willing to buy a console for a 3rd party title. That’s only a timed exclusive. Not only that, Tomb Raider sold better on Sony consoles than any other. Makes little sense to risk your fans across multiple platforms for money now. It tarnishes the brand and your fans perception of you as a
Publisher/Developer. It also strengthens the notion that Microsoft is only paying it’s way through these console generations. Like the rich kid who tries to buy your friendship. Tomb Raider could have made one
hell of a comeback, not nearly so now. The 10 million
sold-through to customers is not really a big surprise. Sony has the best gaming ecosystem. Affordable PS4, PS Vita connectivity with remote play, PS Vita T.V., Project Morpheus, PS Now, PS+ across 3 separate systems and unrivaled 1st party development teams.

Yeah, and it is not like the Xbox 360 is dead. They are still supporting it and still releasing games for it. Putting a limit on how much Hard Drive space you can use is the dumbest thing you can do, it is so dumb no one else would even think to do this. We are already able to use External Hard Drives so it should not be that hard to remove this stupid limitation.

They’re not being banned for using non-official harddrives. They’re being banned for modding their system. The only non-official drives that are allowed are the 500GB ones as they are digitally signed with an official security sector that got leaked.

They need to mod their system because the 360 only work with official microsoft hard drive without modifications.
If it was as stupid as Sony’s Original material do not steal memery card for their handhelds I could understand the limitation but it’s just a simple hard drive that anyone can buy anywhere.
