Is there a special edition for this game? Might pick either Forza 6 or this up if there alongside an Xbox One. I love Forza but the Special Edition’s just aren’t available anymore.

Sound like the Deluxe and Digital Editions are only digital, correct?

        Like

      • kevgallacher

Yes, but they versions are just bundles really.
The Deluxe is just the game plus the VIP add on
The Ultimate is just that plus a DLC pass.
Both of these things can be bought separate from the marketplace, so you can still buy the disk and get all the extras too.

      • kevgallacher

The only differences I see is that you save £5 by buying the ultimate version over getting the game and the extras separately.
The Deluxe version is just the same as buying the game plus VIP, in fact it’s actually 1p dearer (at least here in the UK)

When the word “digital” is in the games title, it’s a digital download game / version.

My typo, the editions are Deluxe and Ultimate. No digital in the title. Thanks for the snark, though. Very helpful!

      • Nick Peck

Well thanks, though for once I wasn’t really meaning it that way😀 I mostly meant when you see “digital deluxe” it’s only a digital title. But if that was a typo then never mind haha.

I think I read somewhere that you get free cars when you get the full game for playing the demo? Can anyone confirm?

    Like

    • Jorge Garza

Yes. They will give anyone who completes at least 1 event by Octuber 31 the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

Also, in September 30 they will have a free car pack including:

      · 2003 Ford Focus RS
      · 1997 Land Rover Defender 90
      · 1993 Clio Williams
      · 2015 Ford Mustang GT
      · 1987 Buick Regal GNX
      · 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV
      · 1968 Abarth 595 esseesse
      · 1956 Ford F-100

Also, they have a rewards system. If you played Forza games before, you will have a level according to how much you played the previous games. You will get rewards according to your tier level, for example, I am tier 5 so I will get rewards for tier 2, 3, 4 and 5. The rewards are monthly and are different every month, unless they give away in-game credits like in Forza 5.

      Tier 2 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe
      Tier 3 2013 Viper GTS
      Tier 4 2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4
Tier 5 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter
      Tier 6 2013 McLaren P1

Even though I’m knee deep in Destiny the little time I spent playing the demo really showed me how beautiful this was. Still on the fence about getting it as there are so many games coming out but if I do want a game that’s not on my list thanks to the demo it will be this.

It has the same engine than Forza Motorsports 5, it has the same physics, it has the “same cars”, it has the same tunning system. So yeah, it`s mainly Turn 10.

I know its just copy and paste from forza 5.

      • Jorge Garza

        No it`s not.

With the inmense new map it`s enough to be so different than Forza 5. I am glad they kept the physics and the quality from Forza 5, but I can`t wait to climb some hills.

I meant Playground basically made the map and Turn 10 made the physics, the engine, the tunning system, etc. It`s not a bad thing tho.

You just said they used forza 5, physics, engine, tuning etc then u say its not copy and paste? the point is its a great combination of all studios turning into one awesome game which i think we can all agree on.

No, its mainly Playground Games. Turn 10 couldn’t make a fun game like Horizon to save their lives.

        Like

      • Nick Peck

Because Turn 10 does the simulation type racer which they do a great job at (whether you like it or not). Horzion is the “do whatever you want” open world racer type. Two totally different games.

Because every CoD game sells roughly $300m in 5 days. As good as FH2 is going to be, I doubt it will push anywhere near that sadly.

Do you have an argument or it’s just an opinion? Because I know for sure that FH2 has the same engine, same physics, same AI system (Drivatars, maybe improved), same tunning system, same controls, same camera options, same cockpit view animations, same cars, same sounds (cars in both games), same VIP membership option that Forza 5 has, and I could be still going.

Why do you think it’s mainly Playground? Sure, they made an awesome map, but the game it’s about the cars and features, not just the map.

After playing the Horizon 2 Demo, I can confidently say it’s nothing like FM5. FM5 took a more racing simulation route, and is extremely realistic. The physics share absolutely zero similarity between Horizon 2 and FM5. Horizon 2 is open-world fun. It feels nothing like Forza 5, and there are many, confirmed *new* cars in Horizon 2. I also believe most of the DLC cars from Forza 5 are already in vanilla Horizon 2, as well as the vast majority of the cars that were in vanilla Forza Motorsport 5. Horizon 2 is a completely different game, but it’s equally as good as FM5. Personally, I don’t think Horizon 2 should bare the “Forza” name, because it shares very little similarity – but nevertheless, it’s seemingly amazing. I know for certain I’ll be purchasing it.
