Yeah eh. Same here ! It’s been fun playing with my buds but yeah I’m really looking forward to a good single player game. Why did you go for shadow of mordor on ps4? Is it better resolution on ps4? I thought there was parity.

Really! Ugh. That sucks. I wish I wasn’t so addicted to achievements lol or I’d be buying all my multiplats on ps4.

You can have both! Trophies are addictive too, especially when you can sort by Rarity percentages and find out which are easiest to get and which you probably to don’t want to worry about (at first at least) instantly! No special website checking required (i.e. TrueAchievements, etc) I have a found a Platinum is more fulfilling than 1000/1000 especially when you can keep your Plat and don’t ever need DLC for it. The DLC just adds bonus trophies. Whereas chasing 1000/1000 is a pipe dream since nowadays that number just keeps going up thanks to DLC. AND they take away your completed game designation on Xbox if DLC is released.

Yeah I know what you mean I’ve tried to get into trophies the same way I’m into achievements quite a few times. I don’t know what it is I just don’t care as much when playing my playststions. Sometimes it’s a good thing when I want to just focus on the game and not have to play a certain way to get certain trophies etc but yeah for the foreseeable future I can see my Xbox one being my multiplatform machine and my ps4 continue to be for exclusives. I’m so much more used to the xbox OS now as well. I love snap, party, the friends feed etc just a personal preference obviously but it’s more enjoyable to me. I also find it convenient that you can start apps or watch TV and keep your game paused then can jump right back into it when you’re ready

Well, PS4 does have the equivalent of Friends feed under What’s New and under each game’s dashboard info panels. And you can also go browse the web for example then go right back to your game, and party app works fine. I like that you can create a little custom mass message group with a custom title and everyone invited sees what you post there with a clear message history. Don’t think X1 has that. But ,I get you. For me, the unique Trophy sound compared to the generic achievement sound was a factor, as well my feeling that they really ruined it on Xbox one. On PS4 it tells you instantly what trophy you got and shows you its picture icon too. On Xbox One it takes FOREVER for the little banner to switch from Achievement Unlocked to tell you what you actually got, which is distracting to gameplay, plus you don’t get the neat picture (well, until much later in the app itself). Definite step back from my 360 which I still love as a pure games machine. I also find that having Trophies pop on top is less distracting than popping at the bottom and waiting a few seconds until it actually shows what you got.

It’s refreshing to debate the pros and cons of consoles without fanboy hate getting in the way. I guess the typical miscreants see a Sherlock Holmes game and run so far away they don’t even bother reading the comments. LOL

Haha yeah for sure. People get so up in arms about what’s better when all it is, is personal preference. Like for example you liking the trophies and everything to do with them better where for me nothing beats hearing that little achievement noise followed by the little blip at the bottom of the screen. I love being able to snap achievements and to see my progress in them in real time
For example if the achievement calls for 100 head shots, you can see the percentage going higher on the achievement as you play if you keep it snapped. But I actually didn’t know you could browse the Web and go back into your game on ps4. I know you can’t use Netflix or anything like that without suspending the game. Also yeah I know the ps4 has a feed showing what people have been upto but one thing I’ve really started to love on my Xbox one is the feed is more like a Facebook wall, with your friends able to just post whatever they want or share a game clip etc. For example my friends and I have been using it as a way to let our other friends what time we will be on to play destiny.

Haha oh and yeah man I’ve actually had this game on my radar for quite a while. I loved l.a noire and am hoping it has a lot of cool investigations to do.

I have both systems and you can’t tell the difference… I broke down and bought the PS4 for the PlayStation only titles.

The only reason I went with XBox One before I pick up a PS4 is simply the controller. I HATE the PS controller. Love the XBox controller. I figure if I let the PS4 have a year first, they’ll have a nice 3rd party controller that is like the XBox controller. That’s what I did with the PS3 as well.

Oh I don’t even know anymore. Rudy is probably right. Reason is that my X1 is an exclusives machine and all multiplats go right to my PS4 now. WAY too many cases of the X1 underwhelming on multiplats. So many that I don’t even bother to check anymore, it’s almost a given.
