Actually this is a garbage deal, especially the darksider deal which was 75% off in both february and July but is currently a 50% off deal also the NFS most wanted price is an outrageous 9.99 pounds compared to buying a brand new physical copy of NFS most wanted and MOH Warfighter bundle on Amazon uk for 9.11 pounds. Also it makes no sense to offer Hot Pursuit as gold only deal when every gold member already got Hot Pursuit for free months ago as a GWG deal.

NFS: Hot Pursuit was NEVER on GwG. The only EA game offered through GwG so far was Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to date. I don’t believe ANY racing game has been offered through the program yet outside of Motocross Madness.

It was and is still free through the Vault for EA accees subscribers, perhaps that is his confusion. But I do believe Strike Suit Zero was free with Gold so perhaps that could apply to his point.

That is NFS: Rivals, not Hot Pursuit. Hot Pursuit was a 360 title so could not be part of EA Access (at this point).

If you thought that was bad, just look at the Australian price, which is $50 AUD (£27.3 or $44 USD ) at 50% off, while normally being priced at $100AUD (£54.6 or $88 USD ). They really don’t want any sales in Australia.

To be honest, I’m quite happy about the 360 deals this week. The two Burnouts and Dirt 3 are quite fun. The One’s deals are not great, though.

      • Soldier Zero B

The Burnouts are decent, although I already own Paradise and I picked up Dirt 3 in Feb. when it was $4.99. Hot Pursuit is also a solid game. I thought it was $5 but that’s for USA only. It’s $7.50 in Canada.

I haven’t completed Dirt 2 when ot was on sale about a year ago. Though I picked up both Burnouts. Never actually owned Paradise (rented on PS3 maany years ago). Revenge is taking me back to 2006. Glad my payday alligned perfectly.

I haven’t completed Dirt 2 either, nor have I played the 1st or the 3rd lol. I’m gonna finish the 2nd one before I touch the 3rd. I actually own Burnout Revenge on my original Xbox, but for $5, some cheevos, and online play, it seems like a deal. Or is the online dead in Burnout Revenge?

They simply want us to migrate to XBOX ONE, but that’s not gonna happen like that. Why would I change my console for something that has to little to offer? no wonder P S 4 is winning the war everywhere. The only decision I’m gonna make because of this garbage is to let my XBL Gold to expire and go back to silver for quite some time.

5 bucks for rbi makes me laugh at how much it dropped. Guess nobody was really buying it, I am tempted ever so slightly at that price Thoughts at those who bought it if at 5 bucks its worth a go

Be warned now, ALOT of races are reused for different cars. Graphics are pretty and all but I hate the race structure they have set up look into it a little if you can. No customization, no upgrading other than racing the same races as other cars to unlock a few parts, and a very Burnout feel (though that isn’t exactly a bad thing).

One arcade game for the 360. That’s a huge disappointment.
The games are a little more original, but it looks like I’m going to have to wait until the Black-Friday week to score some good games.
If the 360 wasn’t abandoned by Microsoft, they could have come up with an extra hard-drive for more storage vs. using a tiny SD card.

Hmm, is it hot-swappable? With 1 X-Box & all the info stored (including game saves) on the hard drive, could I move it all over to the 500g w/out losing any data?

        Like

      • ImTheMetalLord

They are not hot swappable. You have to turn off the console to remove and put in a different HD. However it works very well. I have the old white 360 and I have two (about to pick up a third) 250GB HD’s.

        Like

      • Escaped Madman

Plus of course the 500GB drive is only for the new slim model, not the older model

        Like

    • GamerResentment

Just make sure if your swapping HDDs on the 360, if you lose connection to the internet, that you reconnect before switching HDD’s otherwise you’ll lose achievement progress and I don’t know what that would do as far as your .GPD file.
For example. Playing Max Payne 3 on HD1. Lose connection before getting achievement. Want to play Crysys 3 on HD2. Connect to internet with HD 1 to update xbox live with your current achievos before swapping to HD2.

I know this because that is the exact mistake I made. Am hoping it didn’t mess with my .GPD. Don’t want to rebeat Max Payne 3 to find out though.

    Like

    • GamerResentment

I would say depends on what you like. If you prefer open world, maybe go with most wanted though I feel it isn’t NFS anymore with lack of customization, reused races (repeatedly), needing to beat said repeated races to make visually indifferent upgrades to vehicle. If you don’t mind track racers, hot pursuit is definitely fun for the price.

For all i know they got it and opened it up and played it. Hate gamestop and wouldn’t have if it wasn’t literally next door to my work and wouldn’t have to travel to Bestbuy or pay amazon shipping fees. That place reeks of sleazy behavior by employees.

Pretty upset that I saw a Forza 5 GOTY edition on the store today. I had no idea it was coming and had just bought Forza 5 and I thought “well, maybe they’ll lower the price so existing owners can get all that DLC for a fair price since you can get some of it for $60 now”. I saw the sale price for the car pass and was like ‘oh they’re going to do it! awesome! about time! the games been out almost a year!” but still, $30?!? That’s HALF THE PRICE OF A BRAND NEW GAME AND YOU SAY THATS ON SALE.

All these ridiculously priced DAY 1 Forza add-ons you can purchase is what’s going to push people against you. Including myself, I can’t believe you do your customers like this and after MCC comes out and I have my fun with that this Xbox One is going on eBay.

Dlc isn’t sold in a preowned shop so any sale on dlc is technically a sale. Also, they have no obligations to customers to lower prices for owners of the older games. Price will drop lower eventually but maybe just not as fast as you want. Just don’t buy games that have dlc until you learn if there will be a GOTY edition of it or not. Just think of the old and true saying, time is money.

      It depends of your tastes.
Having played only two of them all, however some seem visually more achieved than others.
For example, if you are looking for graphic quality, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit appears better than Burnout. And about gameplay, Burnout Paradise is more an “open city”, while races from Hot Pursuit are more straightforward and about speed. I also think – others could tell – that Burnout Revenge, which is older, focus more on destructing oponents.
Personnaly, at the same price, I would opt for Hot Pursuit; but it is a matter of tastes.
