Thanks for finally getting this done, 1 month before I cancel my satellite subscription…. I am at work, but am able to remotely download it with Smartglass, so it is ready by the time I get home tonight. Very cool.

It can’t be that big of a file – unlike games which this would be useful for doing.

34 megs, I just installed that after pre ordering Geometry Wars 3.

The size of the file is irrelevant. The point is the convenience of being able to queue up a download at my convenience from anywhere and have it ready for when I get home.

The only good thing on HBO is Game of Thrones. Just buy the BluRay sets.

HBO has plenty of phenomenal shows both past and present. The GO subscription includes everything from The Sopranos to The Newsroom.

Since there is a HBO Go app for 360, I believe it will be released for X1. They may be waiting for the translation team to do their jobs, or something like that.

Mexico any ideas? The app for 360 its fine, and by the way the crunchyroll apps on mexico dont have subtitles…

Crunchyroll is a mess with their apps. They don’t even support the one’s for PS3/360 anymore I don’t think, so don’t expect changes to occur.

Can someone clarify? I DO NOT subscribe to HBO via my cable provider. I read somewhere in the past that I could JUST subscribe to this instead. Is that true? The “authentication” comment leads me to believe that I need to subscribe through my cable provider (Verizon).

You can subscribe through the app. But wouldn’t it be wise to sub through your cable provider and double dip? I don’t know if it works the other way around though.

Wait, you can subscribe to just HBO Go through the app and not need to use a cable provider?
That would be awesome! Up until today, I’ve been under the impression that wasn’t possible.
I don’t have cable TV, just internet, but I’d gladly pay for HBO Go separately.

No. HBO is bringing a stand alone subscription in 2015 but right now you need a cable service.

Just curious, when is the Netflix gesture/voice control going to be fixed?
As it stands now, if you have more than one Netflix profile you cannot select which one to open after loading the app (doesn’t work with voice at all). Also, when you complete watching a show/movie, there’s no way to use your voice to go back a screen to see your list or choose another show/movie.
It’s like the most basic of basic things that DOES NOT WORK with voice on the Xbox One.

it did work when xbox first came out. Netflix updated their app about 2 months ago, so it would function the same way it does on all other devices for some reason and now it sucks. Can’t voice command anything anymore and it’s much slower. So dumb.

Changing the profile works for me.

      Xbox Select Profile 1 (etc)

Haven’t tried it in the past week, but everytime I use Netflix I’ve never had to use a controller.

That’s the thing, the voice command to change Netflix profiles doesn’t work.

Get out of the cable companies’ pants Microsoft and release the Over The Air adapter for Xbox One in the Unites States! NOW!

Now if MS could persuade HBO (i.e. use their financial clout) to allow this App for UK users then this would be awesome (and a serious console seller).
