Win Your Way Into The Game Awards Next Week

While you’ll be able to watch The Game Awards 2014 from the comfort of your home on December 5th (full details forthcoming), the best way to watch is in person. From the front row. The Game Awards founder Geoff Keighley certainly agrees, because he’s gifted us a cache of tickets for Xbox fans.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s time for a Las Vegas Microsoft Store Meetup.

On Thursday December 4th at 7pm, I’ll be hosting a special fan meetup at the Microsoft Store Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, where we’ll be gifting The Game Awards 2014 tickets to the first 100 attendees. We’ll also have Xbox One games to play, and conduct a special raffle for a pair of front row seats, Xbox One bundles, and other prizes.

What: Major Nelson’s The Game Awards 2014 Event

Where: Microsoft retail store at Fashion Show Mall

3200 S. Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

When: Thursday, December 4th. Line for The Game Awards tickets will form at 5pm. Meetup activities start at 7pm.

Cost: FREE

What happens if I do not win The Game Awards 2014 ticket, may I still attend the event? Yes! We’ll be running games of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive, and Forza Horizon 2, and raffling off other prizes

The Game Awards ticket raffle details (read carefully!): Begin lining up at 5 p.m. where we’ll be raffling off 100 tickets to the Game Awards 2014 show on December 5! 100 lucky winners will each win one ticket to the show. This Microsoft store event is free to the public. You must be 18 to attend The Game Awards. No exceptions – ID will be checked!

For more details, please visit http://msft.it/MajorNelsonLV. See you there!

Read this, got scared but then read this on the site: The Game Awards is not affiliated with or produced by Viacom Media Networks or Spike TV.

I saw the list of Nominees I was pleasantly surprised.

After last year’s debacle of a VGA show I think this is Geoff Keighley’s genuine attempt to add some legitimacy to gaming awards. I’m hopeful- we’ll see.

Award shows (all of them including those in gaming) are nothing but the industry giving a reach around to each other.

And after several weeks of them posting early they sure aren’t this week. Oh well….I guess I’ll have to wait to figure out what I want to pick up for free. Thanks to Bing Rewards and Live Rewards.

I use xbox hub, simply because its nicer to look at and the interface is better.
When I want an update on the marketplace though I expect to come here, I remember last years summer sale where it was daily deals it would be updated when I wake up in the morning. Now MN updates it at the end.
Wouldn’t surprise me if GWG gets announced elsewhere.

Yep. It’s a really fun open world game to get lost in. Played for 30 hours and am still only a quarter or so through the campaign because simply sailing around is so much fun.

Definitely think about Diablo 3 if you haven’t played it before. It’s so good. One of my favorite games of 2014.

Looks like I was right about the Holiday deals hitting soon. Almost 60 games/ DLCs up for tomorrow on the 360. Hopefully they will anounce which ones are the daily ones soon or early tomorrow, If that is how they are doing it this year.

So far i wanna pick up the Titanfall Season Pass for the 360 version (75% off) and Strider (50%). And maybe 1,of them $3 games.
